If staying in Fallbrook, Stay here! I had an early work meeting in Fallbrook and didn't want to chance it with traffic, so I decided to stay in Fallbrook. I made the mistake of picking the Rodeway Inn. What a horrible experience, it was disgusting and extremely rude front desk man. The room had a horrific smell that I just couldn't stay there, and I was scared to even sit on the bed, it was so gross! Just a traumatizing experience after a long day of traveling. I called Econo Lodge and spoke to Manny the manager and told him what happened. He said he would save a room for me. I got my bags and came to Econo Lodge. Manny was amazing! Excellent customer service and compassionate to what just happened with Rodeway Inn. He assured me there are no smells, no bugs, they take pride in their business and customer satisfaction. Manny was able to upgrade me for my troubles and horrible night. If staying n Fallbrook, DO STAY HERE! ask for Manny! He will take care of you!

The floor is lava I’m here for a wedding and was hoping that this weekend could also double as a little getaway for my partner and me. Upon walking in, I took my shoes off to relieve my feet from a long trip. Bad idea. The rooms are the perfect field for a good old fashioned game of “the floor is lava”. Save yourself the impending itch on your feet and bring slippers or sandals, or don’t take your shoes off. Also, a spider crawled out from behind the mounted clothes rack to greet me. Yay.

Comfy bed, reasonably clean, lame breakfast, rooms open to outside This is an older 2 story hotel. The beds seemed new and were quite comfy with an assortment of pillows. The room had been remodeled and was clean. The walls are thin. The rooms open to the outside so they are not ideally secure. The entrance and exit to parking lot is not very wide, has a steep grade, and opens onto a VERY busy 5 lane highway. The coffee was barely passable and the breakfast was 2 kinds of cold cereal, plastic packaged Danish, hard boiled eggs. Rooms in this region are expensive but for more than $100 a night, one expects more.
