Worst experience! We stayed at the Hampton for a baseball tournament. Like a previous review stated, there was a terrible smell upon entering the hotel. No one from the hotel addressed the smell or the situation. We were on the 3rd floor where the smell was worse. Children and parents became ill over the next few days; vomiting, diarrhea, headaches, etc. A city official at our tournament approached us and told us about the softball team who had stayed a week earlier. When I called the GM of the hotel to address the issue, he told me I was lying, that there was no smell, and the info regarding the softball team wasn’t true. Other parents tried to call the GM. He would not return phone calls or refused to speak to them. The final straw was when sewage water started coming up in tubs and a couple of rooms flooded. When we tried to check out, we were told we could not check out. The lady at the front desk was trying to be helpful, but had a supervisor who kept calling her, but the supervisor would not speak to us. We asked to check out and get our receipts and the hotel refused. We finally received our final bill the day after we left the hotel. I have contacted Hampton/Hilton and they have refused to address the issue and keep sending me back to the GM. It is a shame that a hotel knowingly allows people to stay on their property aware that there are health risks.

Do NOT stay here for health concerns We traveled to Florence the week of July 23, 2024 with my daughters softball team for the World Series. Upon reaching the hotel we were not very welcomed as we were a larger group but the main concern for this post was the extremely foul odor that was present predominantly on the 3-4 floor. The stench seemed to worse as our stay continued and resulted in numerous players, parents, and grandparents feeling nauseous, headaches, vomiting etc. We expressed the concern and was then told that they were aware they had a “sewage” issue but it was being taken care of. After symptoms appeared to worsen for the team we chose to leave the premise in fear of the health issues occurring. Once leaving, the team was still charged for the stay not done and is still unresolved. Another mother on my team was notified today that the hotel is still up and running with the same issues and another team from Florida currently has 7 members experiencing the same symptoms. I would highly advise NOT staying here for fear of health concerns.

Great Weekend Stay Ours was a two night stay starting Saturday evening. Location is great. Many stores, restaurants in the area. We had a first floor king room. Large walk in shower. Ample closet storage. Sofa and desk also in the room. Coffee maker, refrigerator. This area was quiet. We were close to the hallway for the gym and pool access. Staff very helpful. Breakfast staff kept the area clean and were attentive to our needs.

Overall Good Experience Rooms are clean. Staff is friendly. Easy to access. Only drawback is the breakfast options. They had egg fritta and sausage that did not appear to be fully cooked. Breakfast pastries were limited. Overall, the lack of a quality breakfast is why I chose often to not stay at Hampton Inn.

A great Hampton Inn in Florence, AL We’ve stayed at a lot of Hampton Inns and have certain expectations. This is one of the best! The place seemed up-to-date, but it looked like they were getting ready to do even more renovations. Every member of the staff we came into contact with was friendly and competent. The room was clean, with all the amenities we needed. The bed was comfortable. The shower head was great, but there could have been a little more pressure. Quiet overnight. Common areas were clean. The breakfast was well-stocked with a good variety of options. Good biscuits, but no gravy! A good stay for us as we passed through town on a road trip.
