Excellent, but overpriced, as there’s virtually no competition Just excellent all round. The reception staff, morning and evening, are engaged, welcoming and just delightful. The woman who is responsible for the excellent breakfast is exemplary. She is constantly on the move…checking, cleaning and being available. The hot food is fed into the containers steadily, so it is never cold. Just great attention to detail. The room we had was big, comfortable, quiet, and well lit. Many of the other managers of the various Hilton group hotels we’ve stayed at over the past month could learn from this place about customer care… Homewood Suites in Tuscaloosa being a prime example of a huge need for improvement. Having said all the above, it is overpriced.

Decent, clean hotel - CHEAP SMELLING SCENT IN HALLWAYS WILL ABOUT KNOCK YOU DOWN The hotel was clean. Did not get a chance to eat breakfast. Staff was friendly. The lady working after 10pm on a Friday did not have the best professionalism, but she was friendly. Unfortunately, on our floor (3rd) our Ice machine was out of order and had to go to 1st floor but that isn't really a big deal. The only bad thing was the overwhelming smell in the hallways of each floor. It was so stout that my clean clothes smelled like it. It is a deoderizer of some kind, but it is not a subtle smell. It will almost knock you down coming out of your room. It smells like the cheap rose scented spray one would find at the dollar store. I had a headache for 1 and half days from the smell. My sinuses are sensitive in the morning so I literally gagged in the morning, smelling it again. It really was overwhelming or I wouldn't even be saying anything.

Satisfied! Reading the reviews, I was surprised to see the negative, down-right ridiculous comments. We had no problems at all! RENOVATION people! What did you expect? The front desk ladies went out of their way to make us happy. Thank you, Donna and Haley, for being so professional and willing to help. The hotel was a little dusty and the ice machine on our floor wasn't working. Other than that, the hotel was great! Breakfast was good and service was excellent. Good job Hampton Inn. The staff make up for anything lacking in this hotel.

AVOID, AVOID and AVOID AGAIN - Poorly managed construction and intolerable noise levels If this is the number one rated hotel in Florence, AL I hate to see the others. It is falling apart at the seams. They are currently undergoing a renovation which is super noisy and the hotel and its elevators are super dirty; they should have closed down during renovations if they cannot manage it any better than this. The loud construction noise and loud music from the workers make for an unpleasant stay. The hotel's redeeming quality is most of their staff is super sweet and helpful. My stay was unbearable and when I asked the manager Vickie to come to my room and hear the construction noise and music that I was hearing she would not come and said she would send someone else but never did, I guess they were not interested. She said they remained open because "they have to make money" (seriously!?)I guess they are willing to do that at the expense of paying customers' peace. The hotel is occupied by a large group of workers and I had noise complaints about them on my floor as well. Calling the Hilton Honors desk was no better, some lady named Michelle called the property for me but then came back and asked if I wanted them to stop construction because they couldn't (really chick!?) I wanted someone concerned about where my room was in relation to the noise and why I was having to listen to loud Tejano music. I guess due to the lack of competition in the area they can operate on this level of unconcern. I also had furniture panels fall apart in my room in addition to moulding around the floor, when maintenance showed up while I was out of the room they left their hand held radio on the sofa in a totally different part of the room from where he should have been.

Loud construction all day!! Do not stay here! This hotel is under active loud construction!! They will not tell you until you get there and make you pay full price and it is miserable!! Jack hammering, buzz saw and loud noises from 9 am to 5:30 pm. Even the front desk staff wears giant headphones to protect their hearing all day (none were provided to us!). We were never informed the construction was happening and no concessions were made for our misery. We stayed one night and left!! So horrible!!!
