Larkspur Landing Extended Stay Suites Folsom

VERY clean. Convenient location. We made reservations directly with the hotel in order to ask for a quiet room not facing the main road & away from the elevators. Dana was very helpful & our request was granted. Everything was very clean, and the room was more like a mini studio apartment, as there was a small kitchen with a decent sized refrigerator. (What a treat!) We were also pleasantly surprised to be able to open the window & let in fresh cool air. The only minor flaw was that the pillows were so soft they went down to almost no support, but that was quickly remedied by helpful staff who brought us additional pillows. We would definitely stay again.

Staff and location compliment the clean and comfortably suite. The staff was able to provide for all of our requests. We highly recommend a short or long-term stay at Larkspur Landing Folsom.

Why High Reviews? This hotel is sorely in need of remodeling. It is tired, starting with the dimly lit entry/reception area that has no character whatsoever. But it does not end there. I stayed on the second floor and the hallway was drab and the hall carpeting was buckled. The room was a little sad, given how much they charged for it. The bathroom would be the first room to be torn out and rebuilt, if this was a newly purchased home. The tub caulking was shedding. The tub was scratched and tired. The lighting was almost too dim to put on makeup. The sink was scratched. The kitchenette was ok - it has all the basics - except for the lighting. There was only one (ugly) light fixture and it was dark! There are no upgrades in wall outlets for electronic devices. By far the worst feature, however, was the heating and air conditioning unit installed under the window. It was loud! I have not seen these units in a hotel room in years. I was surprised to find it in this hotel. It is old technology that only exists now in cheap motels. The bed was fine, as were the pillows and linens. Maybe that is all that counts. But I felt depressed being in that room for 3 nights. I tried to book elsewhere but all hotels within 15 miles were booked solid. The staff was nice. Breakfast was mediocre - rolls, cereal, bread. I paid $763 for 3 nites in a King standard room and expected a “little” luxury. I did not get it.

Best Room and Staff! I had such a GREAT experience staying a couple nights at Larkspur Landing in Folsom. I got in at 10:30 a.m. which was well before check-in. They left me check in that early at no extra cost. Super friendly staff; a shout out to Alan, Natasha, and Dana for going the extra mile and helping me to print out a work project. You guys are the best. Room was perfect, bed comfortable, and loved having a full size fridge to put my groceries in. The area surrounding has restaurants in close proximity. Can't say enough great things about this hotel and the staff. Will stay here every time I come for work. Thank you.
