From Desk Service Edley at Front Desk was friendly and informative! Despite it being extremely busy at check-in due to flight cancellations, he was calm and hospitable. Commend him!

Overall very happy with the stay This was our first time here (and to the area) and overall we enjoyed the hotel. Location: Great location. Right across from the beach. Walking distance to some good food and to a Publix grocery store. Fantastic view from the room. Room: We were in a Preferred King Ocean View. I've added a picture to show the great view. The room was very spacious, had a large TV, coffee maker, mini-fridge. The bathroom had a large rainfall shower, and my wife thought the shower products were great. I missed having a regular shower head or hose attachment, but that is minor. The room was very clean and had daily cleaning. There is one big downside to the room. The bathroom has a floor-to-ceiling frosted glass window. You can't see into the bathroom other than some shadows, but a bit more than some people might want. A bigger issue is that when someone uses the bathroom at night (and there is no nightlight), turning on the bathroom light illuminates the whole room. I have no idea why they did this. See my picture if you have trouble visualizing this. I'll rate noise level two ways: Street noise was very minimal. I think having a park on one side and a museum on the other reduced the amount of local bars and restaurants, so street noise was not an issue. Room noise was a bit more problematic. Like many hotel rooms, the HVAC has three modes - On/off as needed, On, and Off. On was loud, and switching on/off was noticeable and is not for light sleepers. We kept it off. With that, we slept very well. The mattress was excellent and the pillows were nice. Amenities: Didn't care for the restaurant (that will be a separate review). We didn't use the pool or fitness center. Service: Nothing really bad, but some minor stuff that makes it just average for me. Nothing that would keep me from staying here again. Value: I think, all-in, the price was comparable or better to other hotels in the area that were beachfront. However, I didn't like the $50+/day valet parking (there is no other parking option!!) and the daily resort fee. The $40+ daily resort fee gets you wi-fi, two bottles of water (for the whole stay!), beach chairs (but no umbrellas), and use of the pool and fitness center. So you are basically paying $100 extra per night. So factor that in when comparing. Valet parking generally worked well. The attendants were very friendly. However, I found it a hassle to have to ask for your car when you wanted to go somewhere.
