Candlewood Suites Ft. Lauderdale Airport/Cruise by IHG

Horrible smells & minimal help While the 2 rooms we rented are clean, the hallways on the 3rd &4th (I didn't check more of them) floors smell like a combination of raw sewage and mildew. One of our rooms has so much rose scented air freshener, to hide the fecal/mildew smell that we couldn't stay in the room! A call to the front desk didn't help. So I called the parent company, IHG, and had them open a case. They called the front desk who now came up with the idea of sending an ozone machine to the more offensive room... So now we're all in the less offensive (but still mildew smelling) room until 10:40pm, because nobody can be in the other room while the ozone machine is running! We don't know if the machine will help. The hotel is sold out. Every time someone gets out of the elevator (onto the 3rd or 4th floor), they comment/complain about the stench. Management is trying to pretend they don't notice any issues. They did offer us 1000 points as an apology (the rooms cost 23000 points,each!!!) - that's like offering a $5.00 apology. That's no apology, that won't even cover the Tylenol we need to combat the headache the horrible smells are giving all 4 of us!!! Don't make the mistake of staying here!

August 2 stay Arlene Morn am front desk one of the bestbto make sure my crew we're there once sometimes 2x a month for an event to speedily et everyone in a room and of course reconizge my status. keifer on wed am when we usally checks out or if i call before he always make sure to get things n orrder and Daniella pleasureable alwys ask if my stay was enjoyable and "SEE you next" month location-price. +

Hurricane Debby Was a Very clean big room. very nice place has free laundry. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. There is a shopping center across street to shop or eat at. Coffee pots and kitchen are great addition. I would recommend this hotel anytime

Family trip If I could have given candle wood suites staff 100 out of 10 I would . If was my first time staying at candle wood and I was not disappointed at all. As a IHG member I have stayed at some of the brands listed but candlewood surprised the heck out of me . Exellent customer service and the rooms are very comfortable and nice.

Karyl is the best!!! Everything was great! From the minute we checked in with Karyl, to our departure and shuttle, all went smooth with no glitches. Karyl was so pleasant & helpful. She made us feel right at “home”! Minimal wait time at the airport for shuttle to return to hotel.
