False accusations resulting in Fraudulent charges on my Credit Card.... Way to treat guests!! Pass this hotel by... Pay a little more for another one! I am military and stayed here a few times when I have traveled in the past with no issues. This time, I was accused of having smoked in my room... and they had no evidence and claimed that it smelled of smoke when I checked out, and I don't smoke!!! If someone had smoked, it would have set off the smoke detectors inside the room so I am unsure of what is going on here. Well LONG story short, my stay that I paid $120 for one night for my husband, 3 kids, and myself turned out to cost me an additional $339.00 all because the manager Rosemary Ramirez, refuses to contact customers or handle these situations accordingly. Seems to me they are happy to RIP off anyone they can that passes through because they are in a remote location that not many will come back for. IHG hotels customer service, was no help. They do a claim number, and tell you that the manager at the hotel is the only person that can help you, and SHE doesn't do her job!!! Didn't hear from her, and from the notes read to me by IHG customer service she is set on keeping my money! Many other reviews show customer service is not a very High standard here, so do yourself a favor... avoid it like the plague!!!! This place is infested with stray cats outside the front entrance, and seems to be struggling to keep up with the cost of maintaining this place. Candlewood Suites Fort Stockton TX does very very bad business.

Good place to stay for trip to Big Bend National Park The check in was smooth, however, as soon as we entered the room, there was a strange smell. We requested for room change, and the staff at reception was happy to give us a different room. The room size was good and the bathroom was spacious. The room has small kitchen with fridge and sink. A little overpriced for the small town, but the property is generally good for short stay. We stayed here to spend a day in Big Bend National Park.

Took us in when broke down Nice place, we were traveling with two German Shepard's, they took us in no problem. Nice place. We were here for a week. The town has the old Fort to Visit and Mt. Davis State Park. The people that live here are extremely nice.
