Convenient to Allen County War Memorial Colisseum We were in Ft. Wayne for an event at the convention center across the street, and the location of this hotel absolutely cannot be beat. The rooms are basic and a bit outdated, but overall everything is clean and comfortable. Overall I would choose to stay here again if I needed to come to Ft. Wayne for an event at the convention center. That being said there are some things the hotel could do to improve : 1. Breakfast should be included and it's annoying it's not. 2. It would be great if there would be a microwave in the room. 3. The hot tub was closed and based on other reviews it has been closed for some time.

Terrible, filthy and unsafe. Has become a hostel for the homeless Immediately upon arrival, we noticed scruffy dirty people shuffling around in the parking lot and lobby. Some were clustered outside in pairs. That was our first clue that something was wrong with this place. When we expressed our concern, the girl at the front desk would only say that the hotel “would rent to anyone who could pay”. We did not see any security guards, or extra staff to clean up the mess made by these street people, or whoever they are. Later that same day, trying to use the ladies’ general washroom in the lobby, my friend found the inside walls and floor were smeared with feces. Front desk was notified, and immediately shut down the washroom. Later that night, my friend entered the elevator, and as it started to go up, the man inside the elevator turned into the corner and started urinating on the floor of the elevator. During our stay , we noted numerous dirty and dishevelled people wandering around the property. I am wondering if the Holiday Inn has become a place for the homeless and drug addicted derelicts, on some kind of government voucher program. . You must understand that we do not want to share the same accomodation with such a group, keeping in mind our safety. If Holiday Inn is providing shelter for the homeless, drug addicted, and mentally ill, the hotel needs to post large warning signs both on your website and entrance to your property, so that we may avoid staying under such horrible circumstances. This incident has certainly gone a long way to destroy your hotel chain’s reputation and standing as good place to stay. Speaking to the management of this hotel, did not resolve anything .

I need a refund Hair in the bed, crumbs on the table and chair. I left my coat there, and they “lost” it—someone likely took it home. Very disappointing experience overall. Would not recommend staying here. Poor service. It honestly wasn’t even worth the stay… I’d rather sleep in my car

location great that’s about it I’m here to talk about the breakfast on Saturday, May 20th! Hotel is fully booked. Breakfast should have had staff to keep up and scheduled beforehand. All the tables were full of dirty dishes and food. There was maybe 2 or 3 tables clean when we got there at 830am. No plates, no silverware, no napkins, no juice! Fruit was gone, all the danish etc. We were getting ready to leave and a guy came up with fresh eggs. Bacon was tiny pieces and burnt. I felt so bad for this young girl working she looked like she was ready to cry. I get a busy rush but where was management to assist? The front desk girl maybe could have helped out. I run a business and understand staffing and how hard it is to get people these days. This review is not directed towards the girl trying to do everything. Again, I felt sorry for her. As we were leaving she did bring out a small bowl of fruit so I got a to go box for my daughter so she could eat something quick. Room smells, Not enough towels for two beds (set of 2 for 3 of us). The beds are absolutely horrible!!! Barely can move without it making horrible noises. It really sounds like it’s about to break any second! Both beds are like that. Very, very noisy. Feel bad for people on floor beneath us hearing that creaking all night (I toss and turn a lot). No microwave in room but small fridge.

Poor customer service & even worse rooms I would recommend staying anywhere else in this city including your car... I had a block of 10 rooms held for a team Fri/Sat to attend a tournament -- canceled by the hotel THE DAY we were supposed to check in. They lied about the reason, and offered nothing in exchange for the extreme inconvenience and the fact that our families ended up scrambling to find another hotel and paid more for it. Originally we were told only Friday night was canceled, that we could still check in Saturday afternoon -- I called to confirm a coach room for Saturday and was told we no longer had any rooms all weekend -- in a city that had all hotels sold out... Some pleading & arguing eventually allowed them to "find" some rooms for Saturday night, and it's super fun to split a weekend between two hotels with tired athletes that just want to shower after playing and rest. So poorly handled... On top of that a mediocre, old hotel room with dirty sheets. Gee thanks. Do yourself a favor and stay up at the Holiday Inn Express on Diebold, you'll get great customer service and a NICE hotel.
