Comfortable bed in newly remodeled hotel We have stayed at this Holiday Inn Express several times over the years. It has been a pleasant stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were very nice with good temperature controls. One of the reasons we always try to stay at a Holiday Inn Express is the breakfast which is included with the room. I like the variety in the breakfast buffet. This morning there were 2 types of omelets as well as a waffle machine, 3 cereals, hot oatmeal, several choices of yogurt, hard boiled eggs, 2 types of sausage, bagels, cinnamon rolls, toast, several choices of juice plus coffee & tea as well as bananas, oranges & apples. I can’t think of anything that I was missing. So kudos team. We plan to come back.

Clean, Comfortable place to sleep, and I would go there again My wife, 2 young children, and I stayed at this hotel for the first time on October 7th thru the 9th of 2023. We typically stay in the Frackville area when we go to Knobels to shorten our daily drive times. This hotel is conveniently located behind a Cracker Barrel Restaurant which we tend to frequent when in this area. Overall, this hotel is nice if you simply need a comfortable place to sleep and I would go there again. Pros: -Staff was friendly -Clean rooms and hotel -The area it is in is scenic and peaceful -Well-lit parking lot and plenty of spaces -Wifi worked well -Large place for luggage -Good size room, was able to put a full-size pack and play between the beds, but had a few other options too -Was able to slightly accommodate a late checkout time with rewards status -I could be wrong, but it appeared like they had a washer/dryer in the hallway for guest use, which would be a great option if for some reason we needed it -Dove soaps! Cons: -The bathroom in the double queen room was a little smaller than I would have liked. The swing of the door basically touches the toilet so you have to kind of squeeze into the bathroom. Not really an issue unless you have kids constantly opening the door and running in and out (like we do), but still not the end of the world. -We stayed in room 215 and there was a constant sound that I believe is related to everyone else's use of the water. It stopped (mostly) after 1am, but if you are a light sleeper, this would be very annoying. Again, not the end of the world, but a warning (or possible discount) for this room would have been nice. Neutral: -Tiny trash cans, so bring some extra trash bags if you have more than a little trash (kind of typical of some hotels though) -Management posted signs everywhere about the new toilets, blinds, no smoking/pets, deliveries, and other things that seemed a bit excessive but honestly, I understood why the signs were there so it didn't bother me in particular -There was no view in the room we stayed in, there was a window with a part of the building blocking everything 100%, but I was not there to look out the window (lol) -No pool (bummer for the kids, but whatever it was very cold outside anyway) -Doors to room were not loud to close like many other hotels, however did not seem to shut as tightly. This is nice if you don't want to wake the kids and need to exit the room. However, the toilet flusher is loud. -Hated the pillows, but I am a bit particular about pillows. I like a firm pillow.

Holiday Inn Express Review Normally we stay at Econolodge this was the first time we ever stayed here. We enjoyed our stay. Not really anything bad to say. Only suggestion is maybe give something complimentary like a couple bottles of water or small snack . Also this will be more costwise then others in the area. But you are upping your stay . The room had a great size TV. There were 10 different HBO channels. A fridge and a microwave always a big plus to me. Room was clean shower a bit confusing guy at front desk came up very helpful showed us how it worked . The front desk was great let us in early(There 3 nights) very nice and let us stay an extra half hour. That helped since we did not need to be at the Family picnic until later. There is a Cracker Barrel right next door you can walk to easily. Had a nice dinner there one night. The best thing though was the breakfast and that was 100% because of Debbie. She was the one that made all the food. She takes pride in what she does she is like a food superhero. Normally at these types of places they just throw large amounts out there . She made the food perfectly. Bacon was perfectly crisp Little mini hashbrowns perfectly crisp even the link sausauge that is normally soft was perfectly crisp. She even put the bread in little individual bags . Why? I have no idea but i liked that. She would ask people if everything was Ok if something was not she would fix it. Do not let Debbie go . I like my bacon .

Renovation Hazards- Beware Stay away. Hotel is being renovated. Electric equipment in hallways creating fire hazard. No wifi. Hotel full of dust and noise. Can’t believe the Fire Marshall allows it to be open. Credit card readers are down so you must leave a hard copy and pray.
