Harbor Lights Resort

Disappointed wheelchair user I called reservations this morning for three nights in May. I requested a handicap room on their hotel website as they have advertised that they have handicap accessible rooms. I was told that he wheelchair cannot fit through the bathroom opening on any handicap rooms. I was also told there is a handicap room on the second floor with no elevator. We were not able to book and I want everyone to know handicap accessible means??

Fantastic Stay Harbor Lights Resort is the perfect place to stay when in Frankfort. It is just steps away from the beach whether you’re looking to take a dip or watch a beautiful sunset. It’s also only a couple minutes walk away from downtown that hosts fantastic restaurants and shops! The staff was very friendly and check-in was so simple. The room was spotless and the beds were so comfortable. This place is a 10 out of 10 and would recommend it to anyone who is staying in Frankfort.

Great, as usual We’ve stayed at Harbor Lights maybe 20 times over the years, since my wife has family in the area, in everything from the walkout basement hotel rooms to the two bedroom condos on the turnaround to the condos on the back of the building that overlook the harbor. This time, we had unit 411, a one bedroom condo, for a week in August. Everything was great—scrupulously clean, comfortable furniture, firm mattress. And it had a better than expected view of the lake from the balcony, given that two condo buildings were between us and the beach. Staff was fantastic. Everything you need to cook was in the kitchen (except spices—BYO). Only one minor quibble—the breaker box in the kitchen had breakers for a washer and dryer. That must have been what was in the locked closet in the bathroom. For what we paid it would have been nice to have access to a washer and dryer. Ah well. Like I said a minor thing. With prices what they are Up North these days, $2300 for a week on the beach is pretty reasonable.

Wonderful Seaside Town Experience! Harbor Lights Resort's two-bedroom, two-bath condo was exactly what we needed for our stay in Frankfort. We enjoyed the balcony looking out at Lake Michigan, the sandy beach, and the lighthouse on the long pier. The living area in the condo was particularly nice to have, as was the fully-equipped kitchen. Relaxing! Clonvenient for walking into the main area of the town to take advantage of the restaurants and ice cream and shopping. Wonderful seaside town experience! RECOMMENDED!

Love This place This is probably our fourth year coming here. We got a Deluxe Suite with a lake view. The room was spotless, full kitchen with ice-maker, shower and spa tub. We love the walk out to the beach. Just a short walk to town for stores and restaurants. The hotel also has a pool and hot tub and doughnuts every morning. Easy check in and check out. We’ll be back next year.
