Clean and comfortable After a moving mishap we had to book a room last minute. Fe-Fe, the front desk manager, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for the evening. Her positive attitude and friendly smile went a long way after a VERY taxing day!

moldy, smelly and in need of major overhaul or at least a deep clean Thankfully the beds were clean and comfortable. And I truly believe that the cleaning staff did the best they were able, and the bathroom was as clean as they could get it. However, the room smelled heavily of mold and damp. When I spoke to the front desk about whether it would be worth moving rooms, they told me "its a really old hotel." Thankfully it was warm enough outside that we could open the window and that helped alleviate it a bit. The grout in the bathroom was missing in many spots and gross in the others. Even trying to enjoy some time with friends in the lobby evening and going to breakfast in the morning meant sitting on very stained and gross chairs, etc. I do NOT recommend to anyone to stay in this hotel.

Disappointing Stay at Holiday Inn Express Brentwood-South From Sunday, April 14 - Monday, April 15, 2024, my mom and I stayed at Holiday Inn Express Brentwood-South. My mom is an organ transplant patient/recipient at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and she had a morning appointment and an afternoon appointment at the 100 Oaks location off I-65. I booked this hotel because: A - Location: the hotel is a 10 mile drive North on I-65 and clear of the Nashville congestion; B - the hotel was very reasonably priced; C - the breakfast options are amazing; and D - we had a great stay June 2023. Unfortunately, this time our stay was disappointing. The gentleman at the front desk welcomed us back when I mentioned we stayed there once before and he accommodated our request for a room on the first floor, Room #103. He was nice, however it wasn’t the same kind of reception we received there last year or at other IHG brand hotels. He didn’t rush or anything like that however we felt more like numbers than valued guests. The atmosphere wasn’t as welcoming, like they were happy we chose to stay at their hotel. The room was worn a little in spots but very clean. My mom being a transplant recipient and being immuno compromised that is what matters and we were very glad for that. There was a plug-in air freshener in the hall near our room that was very strong and aggravated our allergies some but we adjusted and it became tolerable. However, the mini fridge was barely cool and there was nothing in it, like a knob or anything to adjust the temperature. We went to the front desk and explained the problem to the other front desk gentleman and, with my consent, returned to the room with us to check it. He said it was cool but offered to move us to a different room. However he said they’re the same in every room. The mini fridge in our room last year was cooler like a normal fridge. We brought protein shakes in an insulated bag with multiple blue ice packs to boost my mom’s nutritional needs and after they are chilled but get hot again they are no good anymore. We also lost a couple of small milks we had. We had no way to keep them cool enough and no way to cool the ice packs again at all and we ended up throwing the protein shakes and milks in the garbage because they were no longer any good. We walked by the pool to see if it was open. It wasn’t however that’s never a make or break when choosing a hotel. I was just going to enjoy it if it was. We went back into the hotel and decided to utilize the fitness room. However, after stepping into the room and looking at the equipment we changed our mind. The fitness room had a smell and the equipment was dirty. Being super susceptible to infections and illness, we didn’t want to risk her ending up admitted to the hospital for utilizing them so we walked back out. Walking back towards our room, we noticed and remembered they had complimentary coffee in the lobby. The coffee was hot and had multiple creamer options and the coffee was very good. With the exception of the fitness room, the remaining public spaces were very clean. The next morning, the front desk gentleman allowed us a 12:00 PM checkout which gave me just enough time to complete my morning time sensitive remote work tasks. Some of the omelettes were burnt on the edges but we saw a couple that weren’t so we had those. The omelettes, cinnamon rolls, and bacon were as amazing as we remembered. They have an awesome breakfast. Overall, I am not sure if I will stay there again at this time. The hotel was clean in the room and the important public areas, and the breakfast is awesome with a great variety of options, however between the mini fridge barely cool and the atmosphere not being very welcoming this time, we most likely won’t stay there again for awhile.

Never staying there again! Staff was very polite and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. When we went upstairs the hallway and our room smelled terrible!!!! The toilet was loose and rocked when you sat down. It was the worst Holiday Inn Express we have ever stayed at.
