Function Over Form is Kinda Important First the good news. The front staff are all great, and will work to make your stay as comfortable as they can. However, it's not worth the $30-$40 difference between this Radisson property and other properties at this exit on the interstate. Each time I've stayed in the past year-plus, something has been broken. Most recently, the A/C unit knocked louder than my old '64 Ford. I felt bad for my neighbors as I had to crank up the TV to hear (I have an audio file if you want to hear it for yourself). The pool was out of service for months, and I witnessed one guest with kids asking to cancel their reservation. Now it's the jacuzzi. I received one facecloth for a two-night stay, and showering is really nice in this weather. I couldn't wash my hair prior to an important appointment as there wasn't an available blow dryer. They've been updating the rooms for months, but they can't tell you how the TVs work or what channels are available. Smoking in the building is not allowed, which is great, but you have to walk thru smokers out front to reach the front desk. Rather than the occasional nice touch like a "seal" demonstrating that housekeeping folded the toilet paper, I would focus on ensuring things work.

A Mixed Bag - But Would Stay There Again in a Pinch This hotel is really a mixed bag. The good first. The staff were all very nice and accomodating. The location makes I-95, Fredricksburg, restaurants, etc. all easily accessible. The rooms seemed clean, if somewhat worn. The breakfast was decent and what you might expect at a budget hotel. Now to the not-so-good. If you're staying for a day or two (or three), there is no housekeeping. You can't get your room serviced even if you request it. The beds are fine, but the pillows are a joke. They're more like small cushions. The showers have water-restricting showerheads which seriously restrict water flow. That's just annoying. I would stay here again, if necessary. But I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again.

rude staff Horrible hotel. Needs remodeling. Room smelled. There was a hole in the bathroom floor which they covered with tape. Pillows were the size of throw pillows on a King size bed. Luckily I brought my own. Understaffed. When I checked in at 6 pm there was no one at the desk for 10 min. The person at the desk was the only one there and she was busy helping another guest with a crib so left the checkin desk unattened and I had to wait 15 min after a long day of driving. Then the next morning the only person there at the desk and taking care of the breakfast buffet was very rude and unaccomodating. This is a travel hotel right by the interstate. People use it while they are traveling along 95 to Florida. People like to get on the road early. Other hotels in the area open their breakfast buffet at 6am. This one was 7am however it was ready to ga at 6am and all set up when I got my coffee at 6am. I was shouted at by the desk women and told not to touch anything til 7pm. I went up to my room and finished packing. I came down at 630 and told the women I had to leave to get on the road since I had a long drive ahead of me. I asked politely if I could at least have a bagel or some fruit that was all set up before I left. She said NO! You have to wait til 7 am. I will never stay at a Choice hotel again. This was suppose to be a Radisson. This is not the Radisson of old. These hospitality companies like Choice by brand names and ruin them by franchising them out it seems without standards.

Disgusted We checked in to this hotel on Tuesday July 9. We were very happy with the front desk personnel. They were very helpful. That is not why I rated this hotel so low. Housekeeping was the issue. It was 2 days later when I had to request clean washcloths and that the trash be taken out. Yes. We were granted clean washclothes and trash was removed. Saturday came and housekeeping never appeared. I asked about that. The reply wad .... oh you have to request housekeeping. We only clean every 3 days. Um. We werevthere for a total of 5 nights and never had our room cleaned once. I paid over $500 for our stay and I had to take out the trash and go get clean towels and washcloths. Not acceptable!!
