Great option when traveling between Portland and points north. Excellent desk staff, clean rooms, breakfast OK, just what we needed. We had a bad experience with a hotel nearer the Portland airport, so chose this one on the way back from Bar Harbor. It's only 20 mins from the airport and exceeded our expectations.

Ideal Location Great Experience The staff was friendly, room included a free hot breakfast and the pool and fitness room hours were longer than many hotels. The hotel was spotless and the room we had even had a sitting area. Freeport was only a mile away and two restaurants were just across the road.

Great Location! I absolutely love the Freeport Hampton location! It is very convenient to I-295, to the grocery store nearby and all of the shopping in Freeport. When I arrived, I was cheerfully greeted at the front desk (can't remember her name, but she is super welcoming!), and given all of the info I needed about the hotel. My only issue was when I first used the shower in my room- the water was momentarily rusty, but it cleared within seconds and didn't happen again. There were some small stains on the shower head itself and one tiny rust spot on the tub near the drain. They were minuscule and insignificant and did not bother me in the least. What made up for these tiny defects were the convenience of the location, the housekeeping service I received twice while I was there (every other day across a 6 day stay), the quietness on the 3rd floor, the comfort in my room and the recommendations about food and where to go, what to see in the area from the same person at the front desk who checked me in. I will undoubtedly be back! :)
