Crappy place to stay I stay 5 nights a week in choice hotels This place is very crooked. They have mold in their rooms they have ac that doesn't work. When you book online through choice hotels they remove your booking from the member number. Then when you try to cancel 24 hrs in advance they say they can't cancel your room and will not do a refund.

Mattresses from the Middle Ages I got a strange feeling from the front desk staff here. Unfriendly, and it sounds crazy but kind of passive aggressive. As if they didn’t really need your business and didn’t care if you stayed or went. The hotel is just ok. It looks nice. It is an establishment that allows smoking, so non smokers take note if that might bother you. Even the non-smoking areas smell of smoke, as there is no divider between it and the smoking section and no way to keep the smell away. The mattress I had was just sad. It was like what I imagine medieval folks slept on. The covering on the mattress was thread-bare. The inside (the filling) was really non-existent. There was nothing there. And a huge crater in the whole center of it. I had to sleep at the extreme top of the bed, laid perpendicular. My back was a wreck after sleeping on it for four nights, as I am a traveling medical professional and had four day assignment. My recommendation is to stay away, but I realize the low rates are enticing. Just know that, as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Although here, I’d say even less than that.

Gainesville can be a busy place so book early. Hotel rooms were a premium because of UF freshman move in. That of course probably doubled the cost. The hotel is in need of updating. The room was quite and bed was comfortable. The best part of the stay was gentleman working breakfast went out of his way to help everyone and keep the area stocked and clean.

Good Stay Spent one night at the hotel. Staff was nice place was clean but the room did have a weird smell, It may have been the carpet as this is a older hotel. Beds were comfortable, shower was hot. The parking is not that good as they share a parking lot with the another hotel right across the parking lot. If you get in late you will have to hope for there is a parking spot available. For a quick stay this place was just fine.

Friendly staff but wouldn’t recommend staying The staff was friendly but the rooms were very old & didnt seem very clean. Bathrooms were pretty gross. We checked the sheets to see if they were clean & they looked okay but the bed spread was stained. Floor was dirty. Windows & mirrors were dirty. I felt like I wanted to shower after we left. Ick. There was also a hole in the wall.
