OK This was our 2nd stay – visited last in Sep2022. Pretty good overall. Check in went smoothly but we were not upgraded to a suite despite Diamond status and availability. Good wifi and water pressure in the shower. Microwave. Mini frig did freeze our food. We booked the hotel because it had a pool – this pool is half indoor half outdoors – it is small and was crowded the whole duration of our visit so we skipped it. Staff at the breakfast restaurant were really accommodating and we enjoyed our breakfasts. Overall a solid choice.

Hilton Garden Inn Gainesville GA - Cleanliness Issues Annoyances: The room was clean but the curtain was damaged and there was no luggage stand in the room. I asked for one and was told to come and get it if I wanted and that I was not responsible for the damage that was there when I checked in. The Problem: Chicken bones on the floor of the elevator and the carpet outside of the elevator had not been vacuumed. The trash container outside the elevator was overflowing. The areas outside of the guest rooms had not been cleaned and maintained. I stay here for weeks on end and I am disappointed at the lack of attention to cleanliness for guests. What is more disappointing is the apathy of the staff when you raise awareness to the issues.

Worst stay at a Hilton property EVER! We go to Gainesville once a year for a soccer tournament and book a block of 15-20 rooms for 2 nights. This is our 3rd time at this hotel and we have previously had great experiences. Our visit this past weekend was the worst customer service experience I have ever had at any hotel, but is certainly unexpected from a Hilton property. We were surprising my daughter for her 12th birthday and had planned to do so at the pool, but the pool area was much smaller than we remembered and it was too cold to do anything outside. We ordered pizza to be delivered to the lobby with plans to eat it there at their tables. The assistant manager, Trevor, was working the front desk. When the girls yelled, "Surprise, Happy Birthday", he screamed at them to be quiet. I don't mean he raised his voice, he screamed at them from across the room. When they sang "Happy Birthday" he screamed at them again. When I went to apologize to him for the noise, he yelled at me that "He could shut this down anytime he wanted to". Everyone that was with us were paying guests of the hotel and had every right to use the communal space to get together. There were other groups there at the bar, who were just as loud as we were, but he didn't yell at them. There was also a wrestling team that did the same thing we did the previous night who were not yelled at. I understand that there were a lot of us and that it was loud, but there was no reason he couldn't allow us to yell "Surprise" or to sing a 30-second song. To make it even worse, they refused us towels for the pool. The pool area has dry towels for pool use. There weren't many left in the basket to begin with, but several of the girls noticed the assistant manger bringing in a basket of wet towels and dumping them on top of the clean, dry ones. When it was time for everyone to get out of the pool, there were obviously no dry towels. I went to ask for more. I waited at the front desk for a long time before Geneva came (not sure what her role is at the hotel). When I asked her for more towels, she told me there weren't anymore. I asked for anything that they could dry off with - washcloths, hand towels, anything and she replied, "We have nothing left in the whole hotel". I asked her what she wanted me to do about the 25 wet children getting ready to get out of the pool and she shrugged her shoulders. I told her they would be dripping water throughout the hallways and elevators and people may slip and fall and she shrugged her shoulders again. I would like to add that the bartender was very helpful and friendly, as well as the Finance Manager. Our experiences with the other 2 employees were, by far, the worst we have ever had with anyone in the hospitality industry. We will not stay here when we come to this tournament again.

The worst experience and costumer service! There were cockroaches, no hot water for a shower. I left after an 11 hour straight drive to sleep in my truck. I called to speak to manager of hotel and still no response. The lady I spoke to asking for manager said that she could help and she told me sorry places have roaches and what can they do! $82.62 to take a cold shower and sleep in my truck! Hopefully they can get it together and clean at least that room up. 229 is where I stayed in

NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY, Never again would I stay This is definitely not a family friendly hotel don’t bring your kids here. The lights in the bathroom don’t work right , the phone didn’t work, you have to pay $15 for a breakfast where they don’t even have much options . The people just stare and you and make it uncomfortable. The ac vents are super dusty looks like it wasn’t cleaned in months. The tub has rust. And again they are NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY . This is by far the worse Hilton or hotel I’ve ever been to
