Slacking in Customer Service ALL the way around! Horrible customer service from front desk up to the Ownership! Never stayed here, they still charged my card. I’ve called multiple times the general manager never returns my call. I write a review they say ownership want to help make it right. That’s a lie they only wrote the review to look good on the website. I would not recommend this trash motel.

Rude and inefficient check out process While the room was grossly overpriced for what you got the check out experience is what appalled me. They could not provide a copy of the bill for the room as it was billed through a "third party" but also could not provide me a bill for my incidentals. The woman was rude and stated that there would be "no mistakes" and I should get it in 24-48 hours. That time has passed still no bill.

Terrible Experience June 1, 2024, we took a weekend trip getaway to Winstar Casino in Thackerville, OK. We decided to get a room at the La Quinta, Gainesville since it had competitive rates and I am a Wyndham member so I received a bit of a discount. I tried getting a early check in but was told the earliest is 2 pm and it cost $25. Why would anyone pay $25 to check in an hour earlier than the regular check in which is 3:00 pm! Complete rip off. I've stayed at IHG hotels which are much more accommodating. We arrived to the hotel at 2:45 pm June 1, walked into the lobby and it was hot, muggy and had a mildew smell. We proceeded to check in. Went to the 3rd floor where the room was located and again, the corridor on the 3rd floor was hot and smelled. Walked in to the room which is a dated room, it definitely needs upgrading. The room was muggy and also smelled mildewy. I chalked it up to the AC not being turned on. Turned on AC and we left to go to Choctaw Casino. Returned to the hotel by 10 pm and the lobby was still hot, muggy and smelled like an old wet rag, "mildewy". Went to our room and it was somewhat cooler, but still smelled mildewy. Decided to go to bed and the bedding felt damp. The comforter, sheets and mattress felt damp. At this point I was frustrated but it was too late to find another hotel so we roughed it out and stayed. Woke up early, 5:30 am, showered and went to the lobby for the breakfast which was just ok for being complimentary. Typical continental breakfast. The lobby was still muggy and hot. Note to the hotel - If you have coffee makers in the room as well as the items needed to make coffee, you need to provide bottled water. I can't believe you expect guests to make coffee using the tap water. Unbelievable. The only positive, was the water out of the shower head was strong, which is good, and because it's 10 minutes to the Winstar. That's it! I do not recommend this hotel unless they do some serious upgrades, get the AC working, and figure out why the hotel smells like an old wet rag. We should have received a discount and I intend to contact Wyndham directly about this.
