What a great place to stay!!! My experience at the Doubletree By Hilton Washington, Dc North/Gaithersburg was thoroughly enjoyable. I was thoroughly impressed by the front desk staff. Khadija and I had a conversation before I reached the hotel, and she kindly addressed all my inquiries. Upon discovering my clothes drying troubles, Timothy, the Night Manager, took immediate action to fix the problem. The Director of Operations, Mrs. Harris, would always greet me with a smile and ask how I was doing. I have nothing but positive things to say about housekeeping. My room was consistently kept clean. I had to acknowledge a housekeeper’s effort in ensuring that everything was cleaned and done correctly. Overall, it was an excellent place to stay!

Poor business practices worthy of FTC complaints Booked this hotel via hotels.com where a pet fee of $50 was advertised. The hotel accepted the terms of the booking when they accepted my reservation, however when I showed up the property I was told that I would be charged $75 for my pet. After explaining the terms of my booking to Stephan and the manager on duty Timothy, they reported that it was not their issue and that I would have to pay the $75 because they advertise it as such on Hilton.com. Given it was midnight and they also wouldn’t refund my stay, I was basically held hostage. I called Hiltons corporate office and they stated that they could not change the hotel policy and suggested that I discuss with a manager on duty (already did). In any case, I am filing a formal complaint with the FTC over these deceptive business practices because while it is only $25, if they are doing it to me they are likely doing it to thousands of others. Shame on you Hilton. Furthermore I requested a pack and play and they said they would bring it to my room, 20 minutes later one did not show up so I had to run out to my car to grab ours. Mind you this is after midnight with our toddler, and I offered to carry it up myself but the front desk said they were going to bring it. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

Incidental fee follow up (Bad service) The account department of this Hotel is terrible .. they stole my incidental fee of $200 ... I tried to make a follow up since last Month August 2023 ... .. They messed up my credit card .. the team is not cooperative especially Arusha who is the head of that department ... If they charge your card the incidental fee that money won"t get returned .. I was not owing anything and never broke anything ...I felt cheated with this big Hotel ... Its a no go place ...

Great stay but I forgot stuff in the room. The front counter staff was friendly and offered to escort me to my room. The room was clean and comfortable. House keeping was personable and attentive. The coffee in the morning was free in the lobby. A delicious breakfast buffet was offered for a fee in their dining area. Lastly, after checking out and on the road home I realized that I had forgotten my coats in the room closet. I called the front desk and was transferred to the lost and found message line. A couple of days later I was contacted and told they had my coats and what I needed to do to get them. I simply emailed them a FedEx shipping label and Lizeth Brown did the rest. I had my coats three days later. Thank you Liz and thank you Hilton. I'm a happy customer.

Clean, comfortable, and close to Costco! I received a room on the first floor, but note that in the elevator, it is one level below the lobby level. I reserved for a 1 king suite with kitchen. The suite was spacious, I appreciated the separation of the living space from the kitchen and the bedroom. The bed was incredibly comfortable! I also appreciated the fitness center; it was a decent size and had various cardio equipment and a complete set of weights for strength training. I had to rush to get breakfast due to an early meeting, and the restaurant staff was kind to accommodate my request to process the tab early. The food is decent and would order food there. (I had a F&B credit through my HH status.) I would absolutely stay at this location again if I was in the area. Plenty of parking, this hotel is near the Holiday Inn Express and Costco, and near the expressway.
