Clean, comfortable basic rooms. Alex, in office, has superior cust svc skills This hotel is basic, no frills but the rooms are large and clean and the beds are comfortable. It is s block behind Seawall Blvd, which means it's a little quieter. The desk clerk, Alex has superior customer service skills. I was having an anxiety attack and he helped me. I will stay here again.

Reserved a room to a closed hotel. I reserved a room in January. We arrived in June to a "closed for renovations" sign. We were not happy. After driving for hours, we had to spend hours finding a room. They certainly should have notified us that they were closed and we could have found another hotel in advance.

Beware -- very unscrupulous business!! I made a reservation here about 6 months ago through Expedia at a very good rate ($97.30/night). Today I received a notice that my reservation had been cancelled by the hotel (supposedly because they were not open during my travel date of August 16). If I look at their website for this date, it says they are sold out so they clearly canceled my reservation so they could rebook the room at a higher rate. I have no respect for a business that would do something like this so I just wanted to warn everyone to think twice about booking here.

Very happy with my stay. We needed to stay in Galveston before our cruise - and so we wanted someplace cheap. And we were very happy with our stay. The place was clean and recently renovated (though they have no bedside lamps, just overhead lamps - but that was really my only complaint). Our room was upstairs and quiet. It is within walking distance to great restaurants (Gaidos, but lots more), across the street from the beach (though you can't see it), and even a long walk to the pleasure pier. I plan to stay there again in March.
