Lousy for a Best Western Plus. Rooms weren’t ready when we checked in at 5:00. Did not get adjoining rooms as requested. Not really clean. Pool area no towels, room key didn’t work to let us in. Pool area not clean. Rushed to check out at 9:30. Unfriendly staff didn’t help with what was requested. Stay here if you have no expectations of being treated nicely by staff.

Worst place I've ever stayed. First off, this place is noisy and I don't mean street noise but they have a SERIOUS problem with the doors on the first floor. They slam, they're so loud - and lots of workers stay on the first floord (I'm guessing) because the doors started slamming at 4am. And continue to slam till 12am. So if you don't want to sleep, go ahead and stay on the first floor. We complained and on the second trip (we had booked the reservations together for both stays, otherwise I would have picked a different place) - we were moved to the fourth floor - MUCH quieter but the sliding glass doors didn't lock. Super secure. Also, there's a hispanic staffer who doesn't speak English and on checkout day, bangs on your door at 8am, yells at you and then laughs if you don't understand him. Awesome.

Review- Best Western Plus in Gilroy, CA Stayed at: Best Western Plus Forest Park Inn- Gilroy, CA, (Checked in on a Saturday and checked out Monday) *Heads up: When you need a manager, there is No Hotel Manager or Management on site to take care of you. Only inexperienced staff- which will leave you frustrated. Stay way from this place. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. This place is chaotic. ** Issue #1 ** Following a busy week at work, I desired to mark the start of the weekend by staying awake late and enjoying movies in my room. Can you believe it? The television isn't working! Haha.. In my mind, I couldn't help but think-what a complete joke! They provide Direct TV! - Wasn't Direct TV super popular in the 1980s!? I made a call to the front desk, and they dispatched a maintenance worker -who stated-he wasn't the appropriate person for the job. He'd try anyways.. ** Issue #2 ** Maintenance man repaired the TV! Yippee! I can't wait for the weekend to arrive! After 15 minutes, the TV screen blacked out once again. Once again, I phoned the front desk - they informed me that the Maintenance man is unsure of what steps to take! It appears that the Maintenance man was indeed being honest! ** Issue #3 ** I made it to Sunday! I was headed to cafeteria for breakfast. Made a pitstop at front desk.. There I found a lady and shared her my experiences and she said - Hotel manager is not on site. I thought of course not. I did pay $382.00 for two days stay with Breakfast so I thought I'd better get my monies worth and go eat! Guess what?! I caught the server placing Taco or folded eggs into the microwave - yuck! They're packaged frozen.. you think eggs would be fresh? Not here! ** Issue #4 ** Monday morning has arrived and Finally! I'm out of here! Got up early and packed.. Went to the ice machine on my floor and Guess What? NO ICE-!-!-!-!-! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha !.. This Hotel is a strong contender for "Don't know how to manage a hotel of the Year Award," excelling at hotel management being absent during crises and driving customers away. And I noticed the majority of their customers are in Construction industry, meaning I now understand why the carpets was so dirty.. "from dirt from boots." I was afraid to turn on AC unit for I didn't want to breath in dust. My viewpoint: This hotel, BW Forest Inn is a subject of mockery.  I've decided to cancel my membership with Best Western, including Best Western Plus and any other Best Western properties.  And of course let everyone else know of my bad experience with especially this location in Gilroy, CA. Honestly, we often assume that budget-friendly places will have some shortcomings, but it never crossed my mind that Management could be one of them. Basically you get what you pay for.. Lesson learned! At first, I opted for Best Western hotels due to their affordable accommodations and was contemplating a brand switch, but the rates are just a bit lower than my usual choice.  Now my perspective was permanently altered by this hotel. Moving forwards- I will be spending an extra $50 -$70 bucks extra for superior service and the convenience of having a senior staff member address any issues, rather than dealing with inexperienced employees and an elusive Hotel Manager. Found following hotels to be budget friendly with excellent customer services Hotel Management can be located! : Hampton Inn, Sheraton, Marriott, La Quinta Inn, Hyatt, Hilton, AC Hotels, Wyndam, Embassy suites, Radisson, Four Seasons, Westin, Motel 6. END.
