Poorly maintained The Asian Indian Proprietor has done little to maintain and update this property. As many Indian run hotels do they do not use fitted bed sheets. It would be okay if the flat sheets they used fit the bed fully. They come off the bed immediately after laying down. The white linens are not white but brownish white. Poor technique with washing. I should have not stayed there but I had not slept for 48 hours. All of the furniture was old and truly showing it’s worn out colors, or lack of colors. Every plumbing fixture was worn out and far exceeded their normal service life. Choice Hotels, you should be ashamed of your supporting a Proprietor that exhibits such disregard for keeping a property nice well cared for and presentable. I am tired of staying in Choice properties that are as trashed as this one and will refuse to check into rundown properties like this in the future. It makes all of the properties look bad. Mark

Inexpensive but only worth it if you need to be at this location Noisy room caused us to be quite sleep deprived. There is not only street noise and thin walls creating neighbor noise, but our room also had a pounding noise that beat intermittently through the entire stay. The person at the front desk stunk like cheap perfume or incense. She was rude and did not understand my questions or just refused to answer them as asked. Linens cheap and small. Shower rod barely hanging on the wall. As we left, it was apparent they were setting this up as a lodging for migrant workers. Many Mexicans were unloading bunk beds and moving them in to rooms. Breakfast consists of sliced wheat bread and some wrapped sugared pastry Stay away if you want to sleep.

Okay but no elevator This hotel is near the Outlet Mall, some distance from the Historic district. it was OK. Pros: parking near our room, clean room, all the regular stuff. The managers were fine. Cons: the shower was dribbly and made noises all night. There was no elevator to the 2nd floor, so if you have poor mobility be sure to reserve for a downstairs room if you can. There seemed to be many long-term stay guys, which I have found typical for the cheaper rooms in Gilroy. They were not a problem. Breakfast had no protein, not even hard-boiled eggs or instant oatmeal, but the coffee was good.

One shining light Had a one night stay and a last minute book in.The building and surrounds are dated and need a good pressure clean. We stayed in the two bedroom unit and it worked out quite cost effective for us as our friend travelling with us split the cost. The room was clean but the carpet appeared to be the original and was very worn and thread bare but sheets and bathroom were clean. The best thing about our stay was Gloria in reception with her great personality and willingness to genuinely want to help us she was a shining light. All said the hotel is dated but is priced right and I probably would stay there again.
