Amazing staff We have recently stayed at the hotel and had such a great time. This was mainly down to the lovely staff. Nothing was too much trouble they went above and beyond for us and were very attentive to our needs. The hotel has a lovely leisure centre and spa and the food was great. Special mention to Amelia, Debs, Ryan, Bella and Diane for making our stay so welcoming even though you were busy you still delivered fantastic customer service! Thank you

Just basic Not as good as before Taken over by new owners, afternoon tea does not look like shown on Groupon, basic sarnies, lemon drizzle and victoria sponge and scones, just plain basic stuff, but can't complain for the price. I don't know if the quality improves if you book afternoon tea direct with Hotel. Last time we came we had a fantasic waitress Gracie but no more, think she has left.

It’s a no from me From the outside the hotel looks lovely, but that is as far as it goes. Beyond the reception desk the hotel is quite dated! Went through the labyrinth of passageways to our room. Again outdated and dusty. It was a hot room and only a small window to open. No desk fan let alone a ceiling fan. The next morning I stripped our bed as I always do to find a huge urine stain on the mattress! I saw cleaner mattresses outside ready for the tip! Went for breakfast, I noticed in proper daylight that the passage ways all needed hoovering. Got to breakfast for 9:15, no milk, no juice, no plates. No fruits. The breakfast itself was tasty but I had to keep asking for things. They seemed understaffed and the 2 young waiting staff were doing their best. There was a wedding the night before with their guests staying over but management should have made sure there was enough staff to cater to the amount of booking previously made. Tried to raise concerns on checkout but was told to email then had to chase up a reply TWICE. Unacceptable in my opinion. Would not stay here again

Tired and needs an uplift The hotel is a bit tired with stained carpets in corridors, quite dark rooms with very squeaky floors and a maze of corridors. For the price I was expecting better than the budget room I got. It is a shame because location is good but would think before I booked again At £134 I would have expected nicer rooms. It was very hot in the rooms but they did not have any spare fans. Accept weather was unusual but they do have them in most places I've stayed.
