Plan Carefully Cedarburg is one of my favorite places to visit. It definitely has that small town charm, and time seems to move slower there. However, if there are certain places you want to visit when you go, be sure to check their dates and hours. Many of the stores and restaurants are only open limited dates/hours. Also, check if there are any events happening that may affect parking, lodging, hours, etc. Some of my must-haves are Lime Cantina, Cedarburg Popcorn Company, and Weeds. Enjoy!

Average hotel We just returned from our stay mid-June 2024. It was okay. Room wasn't ready when we arrived, but we were about an hour before the stated check-in time. They cleaned it rather quickly. However, we found coffee grounds left on the counter, and debris on the floor along the walls and sides of things. It looked like they just made a pass down the middle of each part of the room with a vacuum. The bathroom ceiling was peeling above the shower, but otherwise was clean. Overall, it was quiet, and the front desk worker was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast offered a good variety, but the warm food was cold already at 6:30am (cheese omelette). Price was reasonable. Close location to shopping, food and I-43.

Cheap but you get what you pay for The deadbolt on the door didn’t work. Both times we have stayed here. They wouldn’t give us a different room. Said they had one and changed their minds. We had to take the door plate off to get the door to lock at night. House keeping stole my shirt and the front desk was extremely unhelpful. It was hung up on the door hook. A towel was also hung up. Housekeeping took both and never rectified the mistake. Our room had no hot water and the front desk just said “other rooms say they have hot water”. You get what you pay for. This is not worth the low price. Front desk guy gives zero sh*ts.

Ugh First time I stayed here I was pleasantly surprised. Last night I checked in as I stay here because it is convenient and close to my job. Looks like the joke is on me - this time the room was dirty, the fridge was way smaller than my last stay and didn’t keep things cold. TV was also smaller. Chair was disgustingly dirty as well as the bedding. Breakfast begins at 6:30 am. Came down starving and everything that should be served warm (eggs and sausage)= cold. Toilet paper holder was broken. Curtains didn’t fully close because they were off track on one side - thus rendering them unable to keep the room dark…my mom passed last Sunday and all I NEEDED AND WANTED was a clean and comfortable room. Yes, they offered to change my room when I shared my disappointment but I was EXHAUSTED. Like I really wanted to repackage and move 3 bags after driving 2 hours to get here and then working another 8 hours (being a single woman traveling alone). There needs to be consistency here.

Birthday disappointment We stayed with my daughter on her birthday. The used her room to a suite however I don’t think it had been cleaned. The toilet was full, there was garbage in the ice bucket, we found gold fish crackers in the heat / air exchange. There was also food under the bed. The tv in the sitting room didn’t work. All in all she tried to enjoy herself and is the kind of person who won’t complain so tried to have a good time.
