Anniversary trip to Grand Forks My hubby and I went down to Grand Forks for the weekend to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary a few weekends early. When booking the room, we were asked if we are celebrating anything special. I mentioned our wedding anniversary. The check in process was very easy. Our room was ready 1 hour before check in and we were very happy about it because we had been shopping all day and were exhausted. upon entering into our spacious room, we were very surprised to discover the staff had decorated our room with balloons, an anniversary sign. silk petals everywhere and I mean everywhere. They even fashioned swans out of towels. We were completely blown away by the thoughtfulness of the staff. The room was very clean and well appointed. Lots of plugs and lights. We had a walk-in shower which was great. The hand soap, hand lotion, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner are in bottles fastened to the wall. The breakfast room was very clean and the staff replenished items very quickly. The coffee was great! They had a machine that makes pancakes instead of waffles. This was a changeup to regular hotels. The pool and spas (2) were clean and the water temperature was perfect. Had enough towels to go around. Checkout was quick and easy. Would definitely stay here again. This will be our 'go to" spot in Grand Forks!

Canadian Getaway My mom and I drove down from Winnipeg for a one night getaway to do some shopping and spend time together. I was extremely happy with the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Grand Forks! As I am in the travel industury (but paying full consumer rate here), I am very picky and write honest reviews. If it was bad, I would 100% tell you. :) ✅ Clean and comfortable room ✅ Comfortable beds and pillows ✅ Roomy bathroom with clean and large shower with glass doors (no shower curtain, yay!) ✅ We did not find the room noisy at all. Tip for those who are concerned about noise - request a parking lot view room (in the front of the building) instead of the interstate side (back of the building). ✅ Staff were so friendly and helpful ✅ Free breakfast was one of the best ones I have had at a hotel. Huge variety including fresh made pancakes, cinnamon rolls, omelettes, cereal, yogurt, fruit and more. My only complaint was the orange juice machine was not working properly and was mostly water. ✅ Theres a small pool and hot tub - we didn't use but would have if we had more time. It's nothing terribly special and no slide, so if you are travelling with children they may miss that. But no one was in it mid-week when we were there so that is a bonus as compared to busy hotel pools with slides. Local Area: ✅ Such a convenient location right off the Interstate highwasy if you just are passing through. ✅ So convient for Canadian shoppers as there are many box stores in the same parking lot. ✅ Definitely check out the new-ish Mexican restauarant next door, Charras & Tequila. Authentic Mexican decor, tableware, margaritas and menu. Staff were so friendly. Bonus is you can enjoy a margarita at the bar inside and then walk to your hotel room - no taxi or driving required. And they make tableside fresh guacamole just like Pipi's in Puerto Vallarta. So delicious. _Tip: We booked the Two Queen Bed room with Sofa Bed. Even though it was just two of us, for $20 extra, having the sofa to sit and eat a meal or snack and visit was definitely worth it. We will definitely return in the future. Thanks Holiday Inn for a relaxing getaway.

Nice one night stay Rooms have been recently updated, beds are soft and pillows are nice. There was a stain on one of our sheets but we just got a new one from housekeeping. Complimentary breakfast is free so you can’t complain. Having the two hot tubs in the pool area is nice. Fitness center is ok. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Budget Friendly and Great Breakfast! We booked last minute and it worked out very well. We extended our stay in grand forks when other hotels were not available. The hotel was nice and clean, the staff was friendly. A special shout out to the lady (we don't know the name) at the breakfast buffet. She made the place so welcoming, kept it super organized, clean and tidy; and the breakfast was delicious.

Clean, comfortable, good breakfast We had never stayed here before. Pleasantly surprised by the amenities for the price. Staff was friendly and check-in was easy. Rooms were clean and modern looking. Bed was average, shower was fine. Location was certainly convenient right off the interstate (but not noisy from traffic). Breakfast was what I consider a bit above average for hotel breakfast (fruit, cereal, muffins, bagels, eggs, yogurt, sausage, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, juice, coffee, tea). We didn't use the pool or exercise areas so no comment on those. I would stay here again when we are back in Grand Forks.
