Exceptionally clean room with lots of charm. We were so very glad we stayed at the Lone Eagle Lodge in Grand Lake. First of all, the rooms are exceptionally clean, which is always my #1 priority. The decor is charming and fits with the lodge/mountain style of the area. We had two rooms, which was very nice when traveling with another couple, and they were more than spacious enough for our needs. The bathroom and shower are not large, but do the job. The owners were so very friendly and accommodating. Parking is convenient; easy in and easy out. Grand Lake has a significantly more relaxed atmosphere than Estes Park. It is a wonderful place to get away from large crowds. You can easily walk to all of the main shops, restaurants, and the lake from the motel. We would love to come back, and will absolutely chose the Lone Eagle Lodge.

Best place in Grand Lake! We so enjoyed our stay at Lone Eagle Lodge. The lodge is well located right where the town begins. Lake and all shops and restaurants are just a few minutes walk away, and yet the place is really quiet at night. Our family of four got a room with two separate bedrooms, just perfect for our needs, and very reasonably priced even in high season. Everything was so clean, and the new, very friendly and down-to-earth owners have made sure that the room has all necessary amenities - coffee maker, fridge, microwave, toiletries etc. All in great condition. The Rocky Mountain National Park entrance was only a five minutes drive away, which made the park easily accessible even for evening drives. We felt lucky to stay at Lone Eagle Lodge and will definitely be back next time.

RMNP visit We came to see RMNP but enjoyed so much more by staying at the Lone Eagle Lodge in Grand Lake. Basic hotel, but everything you would need and more. Room very clean and new owners making all kinds of improvements. Cute town, mountain views and amazing lake with a beach and marina. What more could you want. Hidden gem. Thank you.

Clean and Convenient The hotel is run by kind and considerate owners. It is also very clean- one of the cleanest places I've stayed. It's also right at the start of the boardwalk, which means everything is walkable- restaurants, ice cream, playground, mini golf, etc. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to our next one!

The sheets were clean $200 a night for what would be a mid to lower end motel room anywhere else lowered my enthusiasm for the place considerably. Having a (teeny tiny) room for each bed was nice and there were plenty of towels. The beds weren't comfortable, though, the TV remote didn't work, and there was no coffee maker, though I heard later that coffee was available in the office. We didn't care that maid service wasn't available, but some folks might like to have beds made and towels replenished while on vacation in a $200 room.
