Accessible room could use some updates My wife and I have stayed here many times due to price location and having a room we can use. My wife is confined to a wheelchair and we must have an accessible room. The first thing you need to know is that this hotel is no longer a Best Western. I am reasonably certain that it was a Best Western corporate decision rather than the hotel's choice. I was advised that will likely be an Americinn in the near future....but not yet. Having noted the change, we noticed some cutbacks from the last time we stayed here. No tray in the room for your ice bucket to sit on......no sweet rolls at breakfast. While the breakfast was adequate, it was not particularly noteworthy either and the hot food could have been hotter My wheelchair confined wife pointed out that the roll in shower was not usable by a disabled person without help as the mounted shower bench was attached to the far wall of the shower stall out of reach for the shower controls without help (see picture) The toilet really should be a comfort height toilet for an accessible room The hotel was getting ready to paint the hallway of our wing as they were taping it to get it ready

Dingy and run down The hotel is very run down. The carpet in the hallway is worn almost all the way through and there is a very dingy smell. The paint was cracked a peeling around the tub and shower The tub was stained and looked dirty. At check in, we were presented with a brown paper bag with one bottle of water, stapled at the top (We are Diamond Select Rewards Members). When I commented that there was only one bag of water and there were two of us in the room, the clerk replied, "Yes, that is correct". As we approached our room, we saw one of the cleaning staff entering a room with 2 small children with her. When we entered our room the TV was on and a cartoon program was playing. So, do the kids sit on the beds until Mom is ready to leave the room? Are the pillow cases clean, or have the kids been using the pillows as props to watch TV?
