Overnight on the Way to DC Traveling with my wife to Washington DC and needed a place to stay overnight. We decided to give this Comfort Inn a try since it was right on the highway and we arrived around midnight. The woman working the front desk was very pleasant and welcoming. There was a sign that said they were currently undergoing renovations but I couldn't tell where. The facility is a little old and tired. That said, the room was dated but clean. We were just looking for a place to sleep and then head out the next morning and it filled the bill for that. The breakfast area was fine and pretty standard offerings. We were there less than nine hours and most of that was spent sleeping. Not sure how I would feel if I spent more time there and had a chance to explore the facility but the location was great, the room was clean, and the staff were very pleasant.

Avoid If You Have Mobility Issues We requested an accessible room. While there were grab bars near the toilet and in the shower, one has to step into the bath tub to shower. That is not possible for me, so I was unable to shower. There was not enough space between the bed and the other furniture for me to move around the room with my walker. Like most hotel beds these days, the bed was very high. Had I not had my husband with me to help me lift my legs into the bed, I would have been sleeping in the car. Avoid this place if you have mobility issues. It's also rather gloomy.

The staff deserves better The evening desk clerk was very welcoming and accommodating. I asked for a quiet room, and when I heard traffic, she moved me. She offered to help me get into the pool early. She gave me sani-wipes from her personal supply because the hotel didn't supply them. Everything want downhill from there. The room was dirty and disheveled. Even making allowances for the fact that it had not been used in a while, there was no excuse for a dirty carpet, the dead bugs, and lampshades that look like they had been through a tornado. The internet was unstable and too weak to be of use. This hotel does not deserve Jeanette, the desk clerk who did everything possible to make me feel comfortable and safe.

Unexpected gem while getting stranded for 4 days I had the unfortunate experience of breaking down and due to supply chain issues of getting auto parts plus the fact in the middle of nowhere, I was stranded at the hotel for 4 days and while it was not our intent, the staff was so helpful and friendly from front desk to the maid service. Breakfast was a bagged breakfast due to Covid but it was better than nothing. There is not much in area except IHOP and Arbys just over the bridge in walking distance but even the staff there was so nice and friendly. I really could not believe how everyone was just so kind and friendly including the mechanic shop(T&K). A resident even gave me a ride one day. The staff also helped with later checkout as our RV was getting fixed. This was unexpected gem.
