Hotel needs work. Waterpark was fun! Giving this 3/5 only for the fun Magiquest and decent waterpark. Negatives: The hotel rooms need refurbishment. My family stayed in a Wolf Den Suite. This had 1 Queen bed, 1 Bunk bed and a Full sleeper sofa. The sleeper sofa was the most comfortable but still needs an upgrade. The queen bed was very uncomfortable, and the base of the bed moved and was loud with any slight movement. The bunk beds were also very very uncomfortable, hard as a rock, even for my young child. To the point we considered leaving in the middle of the night to sleep elsewhere. The table in the room was sticky and clearly not cleaned. Another guest I spoke with had the same complaints about her room. The entire venue was hot! The lobby and our rooms were miserable. We were sweating the entire time. The elevators need work or more elevators need to be added. The only time we didn't wait for an elevator was first thing in the morning, about 7:30am. At about 9am it was a constant long wait for an elevator. The ordering kiosks at Hungry Wolf Food Hall, only two "worked" inside. The programing is very slow. At the end of ordering an error screen comes up. It took at least five minutes for the screen to go back to normal for the next person to order. Positives: My favorite part was the buffet. A little pricey but well worth it. Every staff member we encountered was beyond kind! From the front desk, store associates, the build a bear employee who helps us was very attentive and kind. We loved the Magiquest. Once we figured out to use the stairs instead of elevators it became a lot of fun for my daughter and me. If you are only there one day, skip it. It does take a long time to complete all the quests. Ideally 3-4 days to spread out the quests would be best. We also liked the unlimited fountain drink refill option, although I feel there should be a fountain drink fill up on the 2nd floor other than the buffet area. My daughter loved the waterpark! It was busy yet we still felt like it was fun and had alot of options and things to do. They do need to add more tubes for the slides and definitely more to the lazy river. Overall, I would go back for the waterpark but I would not stay on property. Great Wolf Lodge needs to put money back into this location. The venue gives a Disney feel but not quite meet the standard we get at Disney. They are doing the wolf ears like Disney and popcorn buckets and such. As a travel agent, I would consider sending families here for the waterpark but not recommend staying on property when there is a better-quality venue across the way.

Lack of hospitality More frustration than pleasure this trip. Our 1st trip was amazing!! This time, I took my great niece for a 2nd trip and paid for all the extras- a Wolf pass for both of us, breakfast buffet, build a bear, extra bowling and laser tag, extra money toward arcades, gift shop, and even late checkout. We had phenomenal service from at Bulid a Bear and a few others stood out that provided good service by meeting expectations. However, there were lots of frustrations. These were the biggest ones- At the breakfast buffet, we were seated and told to head to the buffet to only come back and find a family was seated at our table and had to figure out a new table because of poor process or lack of communication between hosts. Then, we paid for late checkout (2pm) to have the convenience of our room while playing in the water park longer and ability to shower off after to get ready for our next adventure in Frisco. We headed to our room just before 1pm and found that we were locked out. We tried texting in the app for service, as we had been able to do, with no answer. We tried calling with no answer. So we had to go all the way back to the front desk in our swimsuits, told the front desk person that we were locked out, and were told “my break just started. You’ll have to go to the back of the line.” I asked her to get a manger or someone that could help me as it was already 1:15 and we only had until 2 and needed to shower and pack. A person happen to walk out of an office at that time and helped me get a new bracelet which I saw her activate for charges and parking. Never did anyone apologize and I felt like I was an inconvenience although I was the one standing in a swimsuit locked out of my room. She gave me an extra 5-minutes on my time and I had to request 15min for the time already lost and having to return to my room. She huffed but gave it to me. Then, when we went to exit the parking lot, my new bracelet would not work. I finally tried my original bracelet (which was on my right wrist- be sure to put it on your left or you’ll have to almost get out to scan it) and was able to exit. While this was occurring, a manager appearing to fix the gate approached me hearing my frustration and asked if he could do anything to make it right, but I told him I was fine and was going to let it all go. THEN I got charged for towels not returned and was officially frustrated knowing when I returned towels I even asked the guy if he scanned them in and he said “you’re good”. I almost think this happened my last stay as well but did not check before writing this. Now I feel like they do it automatically because I’m sure many don’t check charges. So check your charges and make the people returning your towels show you it was returned on their screen (which faces only them) to save yourself the hassle I went through to get the charges removed. I was on the phone for 22-minutes before I got a case number for escalation to be reviewed. Because I did not feel confident in the person assisting me, I asked for a manager who confirmed my case number but then proceeded to let me know she wasn’t sure why it was escalated instead of refunded and said it should not have taken 22min. She refunded me, listened to my frustrations, and by this time it was over 30min but she did a good job of helping me. I took my 4 nieces and sister to Gaylord earlier this year and loved every minute of it. I’d rather spend my money there and even drive a little further to try out Kalahari or other kid friendly resort (Universal Studios Frisco 2026!) before going to a place who couldn’t say “I am so sorry you got locked out! Let me get someone to help you get that fixed since my break just started” and “I see it’s already 1:20, let me add that time back you lost”. Thank you to the manager who offered his assistance at the gait. You were very kind and seemed sincere. Hopefully staff learns some hospitality from you.

Nice But Not Worth the High Cost We arrived from San Antonio at approximately 4pm on a Thursday. Our waterpark passes were good thru the close of the next day. We utilized their valet parking as we had a lot of bags and a cooler. Valet was good thru 11:30pm the next night. Sweet. Only $30. Check in was easy. No long wait. Of course they try to upsell you on whatever they have available. They sold me on a Cabana for the next day at $150. Not terrible as we wanted to stay until 4pm Friday. After check in we were mobbed by the Hilton timeshare people. I didnt appreciate that. They just wouldnt stop. Just annoying. That evening before story time and the dance party in the Grand Hall we decided to try the buffet. That was the worst decision. Food was so bad. Not much for kids. Food was overcooked or had been sitting out for hours. I do not recommend it. Dance party was another upsell. As soon as the lights went down they brought out all the lighted toys to sell. Nothing really affordable so you can hear parents grumbling to kids they cant get anything. Before bed we wanted to dry our swimsuits for the next day only to find out they do not offer Guest Laundry. Heck, even Motel 6 had guest laundry. The indoor and outdoor swimpark was fun. The lifeguards looked like they didnt want to be there. Rooms do not come with iron and iron board either. You have to call to request. This was a nice stay but didnt have a Resort vibe.

Would not recommend!! DONT COME. We went there in March for spring break. Just for about one day. As we got in it was disorganized. Warning Long Review!! The parking was horrendous and impossible to find one spot and as we did the space itself was big enough for the car to fit but the person next to the spot parked sideways so we had to keep looking. As we walked to the place no one helped us with our numerous bags, so we dragged them in. The check in line was very slow and long and short staffed so my daughter and i went to look around the lobby, and there was also a huge window showing the water park, which by the way was completely over crowded. We get into our room: Very dinghy and bland, it had one small bed that only my husband could fit on so I would have to sleep on a bunkbed with my daughter. There was no wi-fi which was very inconvenient. The bathroom was very small. Also the ice machine did not work and neither did the elevators half of the day. We come downstairs in our swimsuits, just as I said; completely overcrowded. The "wave pool" was about 2 feet waves and the lifeguard kept getting everyone hyped up for a so called "huge wave" which was about 2 feet also. The lines were very long and slow and all the beach chairs were taken up and the lazy river was packed with floats. It's a very kid friendly place but nothing really adult friendly. There was a rock activity and magic quest thing but it was also short staffed. We come back from dinner and go into the room. We could not sleep in this room at all. It was very dirty and dinghy. So we left as soon as we could. If I could give this zero stars I would have already done it.

Beware of your room selection and options I had reserved a Luxury 1 bedroom suite that was confirmed by Hilton. When I arrived at 6pm, I was informed that my room had been given away and then came the "behind the desk scrambled." Looking at the computer, back to the supervisor's office, back to the screen, etc. Finally, the supervisor brings out a book of floorplans to show me that the only room they had was just as good as what I had reserved. Upon entering the room, I was sorely disappointed with the design and makeup of the room. It was a room for disabled people with a bed in the living room and an h/p bathroom upon entering plus a single bedroom at the back. Neither sink for either bathroom were inside but outside the bathrooms. The bathroom for disabled people with no lip at the shower edge wasn't working appropriately and the water flooded the remainder of the bathroom. The maintenance man arrived, immediately knew what the problem was and told us that they had implored the front desk not to give out this room because of that problem. They informed me that there were no other options at the time. There was only a couch with mismatched cushions and a small round table with 2 wooden chairs. The living room TV was across from the living room bed. NOT a Luxury 1 bedroom suite at all.
