The Perfect Family Getaway We recently stayed at Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX - and it was honestly one of the easiest family trips we’ve done. Everything is in one place — the indoor water park, activities, and food — so there’s no rushing around. My kids loved the water park, and I loved that it felt safe, clean, and actually relaxing as a parent. We stayed in the KidKamp Suite, and it was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for traveling with kids. I loved the separate bunk room and the fact that a pull-out sofa was also included, in addtion to our Queen bed. The outdoor patio was surprisingly relaxing and became our favorite place to slow down. I was worried about the noise level while we slept (because I came with my own sound machine - my infant) - but I didn't hear a peep! I even had an infant with me who of course cried, but no disturbances for our hotel neighbors. That was top-notch for sure! I loved that once we parked the car - we didn't have to leave until we checked out. Dining was delicious and I am so glad there were several options available - including a Starbucks for a quick pick-me-up throughout the day. The staff was so friendly and helpful - and because we stayed for two nights, they even started to call us by our names. That to me, was so thoughtful. It’s one of those trips where the kids have fun and you don’t come home exhausted. If you’re looking for a family getaway that’s simple and fun, Great Wolf Lodge is such a good option.

Probably not worth it! Check in took 20-30 minutes and it was late at night. Purchased a Bear Suite, and the faucet didn’t turn on. Attempted to contact service, but no one picks up the phone or answers texts. Terrible experience for me so far!

not as good as i thought it would be grapevine. the pool area smelled of strong chemicals. water is cloudy not clear. not cleaned often. everything is an upsell. from wands to food. food not very fresh. first in line for the buffet food was cold. everything is so expensive. the room was not clean. still clothes under the hideabed from previous people stayed there. the vents were black with dirt, room smelled musty. beds are terrible. sheets were stained. even the tv remote was sticky. for the price of stay i dont think we would again. sad had high hopes

Magical and Meaningful Family Memories As positive moms, we know that experiences are better than material gifts, but it’s no secret that it can be a challenge to find a place that works for children of different ages. Thankfully, Great Wolf Lodge did not disappoint – both my pre-teen and my toddler had plenty to enjoy and are still raving about all the fun they had. What I loved most about Great Wolf Lodge – besides how clean and spotless everything is – is that all you need is right there at the resort – the water park, guest rooms, amenities, and entertainment, all under one roof and all included in your stay. And there are places to shop, get food, and enjoy additional activities, so we did not have to leave the resort until it was time to check out. Even though I’m not a swimmer, I always felt confident because the Great Wolf Lodge water park is staffed by on-site lifeguards, making sure the children are safe among the thrills and the climbing. My daughters did not want to leave, and we’re definitely coming back. They were never bored – there was always something different to do throughout the day, somewhere to go, or somewhere to explore. Great Wolf Lodge really does have the best activities for the family – and the kind, attentive staff is a plus!
