Excellent Location The location is excellent, near a shopping mall, and greenville downtown. The room is nice, enough space for us, and clean. The breakfast spread is good but the seats are worn out, almost all seats are tainted or with marks, I was hesitant to sit thinking that there might be bugs, they look filty dirty.

Eh. OK. The people who run the front desk and furnish the breakfast are as grim as can be. I don't like the totally fake smiles I have seen at some hotels but really how unpleasant do they have to be? No greeting at the front desk at all. Nothing. The only person who broke a smile was the housekeeper. The guest room was clean but packed so tight that the desk chair and the bed were barely separate. It was pretty quiet at the end of the long, long hallway. The elevator was strangely far from the front desk too ,so I had a long walk down two long hallways. Breakfast was pretty pathetic. No real butter. No cream. No English muffins. The sausages were surprisingly good though. The two computers available will not take you to gmail or yahoo because the sites are "unsafe". I asked at the front desk why I couldn't get email and was told the computers are only for searching what to see in Greenville. BTW the printer did not work either. So much for the business center which is in the middle of traffic going to and from the breakfast area and front desk. There is a large tv in the guest room which might be 50" which was nice and the beds were comfortable despite one of them being very noisy. There is basically no where to hang towels or wash cloths after first use which seems totally wrong. Why can't I use my towel more than once. ..Do I have to throw it on the floor? The desk chair was worn down to the cloth under the simulated leather. Ugly. So as there are pros and cons to most hotels this one has them too. If you get a really good price it is worth a stay. If not, skip it.

This place is rip off This place ripped us off. Paid with cash and they still charged my debit card. Now the manager saying there is nothing he can do about it. You would think they would work with you even if it was an extra night.

Just Can't Stand Choice Hotels ANY longer. I've been burned by Choice Hotels too often (sometimes infrequently thye are nice but not often) and this is my last stay with them. I show up from 2 states away and I selected it because it had 3 of 4 circles selected and the pics looked nice....what I found was a bunch of Rif Raff standing around the parking lot at dusk when we arrived we had to leave our vehicle and walk to the building.... then on the first floor a guy walking around with house pants, flip flops, and no shirt on the 1st floor lobby, when we check in and went to the room it the entire room smelled of incense and the door had imperfections in it where pieces of the door had come off and other places was obvious it had been poorly repaired and one area looked like a child had spackled it. This may be ok for some people but not ok for middle class folk. I have found this a lot in Choice Hotels and I'm tired of it. This seems to be the rule rather than the exception. I keep hoping it will be different but it's not. This is the last time we select them because I want my family to feel secure and these hotels do not have the "feeling" of safety. They appear to be where the riff-raff stay in town.......

Bed Bugs !! We checked in at 7:55; the first red flag was the sheets were not the cleanest and the pillow smelled like wet dog. At 11 we saw a bug on the wall and called downstairs immediately. We attempted to reach the front desk for over 10 minutes before someone picked up. We started to check the sheets and pack our stuff up. The worker refused to come upstairs to see the bug and offered another room. We refused and requested a refund. We checked out at 11:30. Kay, the female employee at the desk, stated a refund will be issued when the manager arrived at 8am and we will receive a phone call. After checking out of our new hotel at 9:15 am stopped in and followed up. The manager refused to refund our 3 hour stay and was rude. He stated he is not a big expert and he has to investigate. The container we put the bedbug in was still next to the desk with the bug in it. He refused to look at it and refused to give us a number to the corporate office. An older lady asked me what was I saying and I repeated that a bed bug was in my room. He stated to her that I was lying and that I want “free money”. We have filed complaint and attached pictures.
