It's a dump, and nobody cares I wouldn't go so far as to call this Relax Inn "horrifying" as other reviewers have, but it is definitely the worst motel I've ever stayed in. It's a complete dump, and nobody who works here cares. The first sign that I was in for trouble? Hanging askew behind the front desk is a framed Certificate of Appreciation from the Grenada Police Department ("Let's All Work to Fight Drug Abuse"). So hey, I guess they were trying at some point. Everything and everyone in this place has seen better days. The furniture is worn and grimy, the locks are broken, the wifi wasn't working, the towels are thin. The person cleaning rooms in the morning was using an old grocery-store shopping cart to haul dirty towels and sheets room to room. There was a gap below my door, so I could hear people outside — and especially hear the stranger (possibly drunk) who thought my room was their room and tried to get in, dropped their keycard and then scuffled around for it on the ground. I was lying there in the dark with my eyes as big as saucers. Oh, and the advertised "free breakfast"? Breakfast was: Folger's coffee, a gallon of whole milk and some orange juice in a mini-fridge labeled "6 to 9 a.m. ONLY," a choice of Froot Loops or Frosted Flakes, two packaged mini-muffins, half a loaf of expired wheat bread and a single packet of butter spread. Everything was just thrown on the counter. What really made me angry was that I booked this through a third-party booking site and paid about $10 more than I would have if I'd just paid for my room as a walk-in to the front desk. Insult to injury. The only good thing I can say about the Relax Inn of Grenada, Mississippi is that the shower pressure and water volume was amazing. Like, really amazing.

Not safe for single woman like me. It is not a safe place for a single woman. There are lots of constructors staying in that place and it is an awful place. I was exhausted from a long trip and went to there. The price was a cheap but terrible place and the man peeked through my window. It made me have to move to another hotel.

Disgusting!!!!!!! The moment I walked in the room, it had a horrible smell. Musty, stinking, dirty smell. I couldn't quite put my finger on it of what that smell was. The mattress had blood stains all over it and a big hole in the wall, like someone kicked their foot through it. I told my husband if we stayed here we would get very ill just by breathing in that horrible stink. So, we got our money back and went to another hotel.

HORRIFYING This was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. It was old, which really wasn't the issue. The safety latch on the door was broken off and the dead bolt did not engage. The door itself looked as if it was recently kicked in. It wouldn't have taken much for someone to get in this room if they wanted to. There was an adjoining room door that I pushed the table in front of. I didn't feel safe in this room at all. My husband told me we could go somewhere else, but I just couldn't see us forking out money for another hotel. Will never stay here or another Relax Inn EVER!!! I'll sleep in my car first.
