Great Customer Service! The staff at the Real Intercontinental in Guatemala City are so kind and considerate! I did a girls trip work my friend for her birthday in September. Alejandro at the front desk, was especially helpful since the first day we came. He took time to recommend places to visit and restaurants to try. He even went on our of his way to help us with transportation and what apps to use to get around. What was rh best was that he arranged a little birthday cake and surprise for her birthday!! We were so touched by his kindness. Thank you Alejandro!!!

Superbe customer service in the heart of Guatemala City ( pet friendly +++) Every time I'm in Guatemala City I always make sure to book at the InterContinental. The rooms are really clean, quiet, the bed are ULTRA comfortable, and their sushi restaurant is really good. Above all is the customer service - special mention to Luis and Alejandro. Whenever I book there, I come with my dog and the reception staff always make a point of making us feel welcomed the way smaller boutique hotel would . They also make it easy to travel with your pet as they set up a dog bed with bowl, bottles of water and poo bags. It really has become my home away from home, I could not recommend it enough.

Great stay ! Amazing hotel, very friendly staff and great breakfast, totally recommended and will come back next time I’m in Guatemala City, they also have a great bar area. the rooms are very comfortable and they are modern, the gym is fully equipped for a good workout and it is kept clean.

Great Hotel with Amazing Staff and awsome amenities I always get a very nice and comfortable room. Service at the front desk is always the best and I always get great customer service from all the front desk agents. Housekeepers are also very polite and professional. The room service always fast and efficient.

No pool (currently) and dated rooms We booked 2 nights here via AmX travel desk. We (kids) were disappointed to discover that the pool was closed down. We assume AmX were not informed. They had an agreement with a pool near by, but it looked pretty bad. We tried to leave after one night to WestIn down the road, which had much better amenities (at a slightly higher price point). We were told this was not possible without paying a penalty. The room was also dated; bathroom was very old and a/c in the room was ineffective. On a positive note, Markets restaurant was excellent (see separate review). Staff were also helpful.
