Motel 6 was amazing! 5 star review from me! This was my first time staying at Motel 6 in Gulf Shores. I stayed here three nights before moving beach side the the annual shrimp festival. I had a reservation beachside with another brand of hotel but received an email the next morning saying it had been canceled and there was no explanation. I had a friend joining me on Friday and I texted her and told her I was pretty much homeless. When I checked out, I talked to Jody Hart, GM, and told her what had happened. She offered for me to stay at Motel 6 for the remainder of my trip and made a new reservation for me in case I couldn't move beachside and was offering me 15% off. I can not say enough good things about the hospitality received at Motel 6. I definitely will stay here again!

Nasty place to stay The bath tub had a bug in it. The sheets where stained up with yellow stain and they had black pubic hairs on the sheets. The lady kept changing the prices going up and the clerk state it was $10 more for being the one of there last rooms.

Not what they advertise. We were planning to stay there for 14 nights but that changed as soon as we got there. Their website said they have breakfast buffet, Wi-Fi, cable tv, and coffee in the room. There was none of that. The tv was out, the wi-fi was out, there was no coffee maker, and they have not had breakfast since covid. There was no furniture except the bed, two plastic chairs, and a small table. No couch or comfortable chair. We would have left immediately but we had been driving 8 hours and it was late. We checked out in the morning and the lady in the office was very nice and refunded the money for the 13 days we didn't stay there. The owners should be ashamed to continue renting the rooms and deceiving people about what they offer.

Not Clean There's no excuse for a hotel and the rooms not being thoroughly cleaned. Rented two rooms and both rooms needed the floors cleaned. This is definitely a no thrill motel and I cannot recommend staying there.

Could be better We stayed here for a long weekend. We booked through booking.com and got a decent price considering hotels on the other side of the bridge closer to the ocean were ridiculously high. The room was clean and large. The outside of the building was not, however. Hardly any furniture inside the room so finding places to put things was hard but plenty of room to spread out. The internet was almost non-existent, connected to wifi or 5G. The noise level wasn’t too bad but over-all the whole place seemed sketchy and very dark at night. The only issue I had was when house keeping came in to replace towels one day I noticed it was the same bath towel my husband was using the day before. He dried his hands on it after using hair gel and it dried with handprints on it. When we showered and I grabbed a towel, it was the same one he had.
