Great stay We enjoyed our stay at this Comfort Suites. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.. It was a little pricey at $170. And it was also very hard to find, it was one street off of Main Street, and it didn’t have a Comfort Inn sign on Main Street , instead it was located at the hotel. It probably would have been easier to find, but my AT&T data wouldn’t work in Gunnison. Other than those two things, it was a great stay.

Poorly Maintained Won’t stay here again. Rates were not commensurate with the quality of accomodations. Public areas are worn & dirty. Elevator was sticky with soda for our whole stay. Upholstered furniture is worn. Front desk service was either surly or uninformed. Office Center printer produced illegible documents. Room was decent & clean, with comfortable beds, but with no storage for clothes, and the bathroom had peeling paint and a very loose cheap plastic toilet seat. Wifi connected easily but could not dependably support even Web browsing. Overall, it’s a poorly maintained hotel.

Super clean and great experience! The front desk staff at the hotel were very knowledgeable and helpful. It's nice to have some restaurants nearby. Great experience - super clean! We'll definitely stay here when we're back in the area!

Worst hotel experience ever At first we thought we'd found the best place to stay in Gunnison where we travel often. However, both nights we had issues with our key card. The first night some one was at front desk to assist. The second night no one was there. From 10pm until 11pm we waited. And waited. No one showed up. Finally a person I recognized from earlier in day came to retrieve her vehicle and after begging her (!!! Yes, I begged) she agreed to assist us. The "manager" the next day said he'd heard of our plight but "couldn't leave his other property" he promised "the owner" would contact us. One month later and several calls, no contact, no apology. The same " manager" kept telling me the same lie over and over, that "the owner was out of town and would call me to discuss. There was nothing he could do" my guess, the manager and owner are one and the same. They had my money and could care a less that at 11pm we were looking at sleeping in our vehicle for the night!! Choice Hotels did get me a sincere apology and points for our stay. Choice backed up their service. However, The Gunnison Comfort Inn and suite did not. The entire hotel was open that night with not one single employee on the property after 10pm. I would never stay there again. They also own a second property in Gunnison. Beware......horrible, frustrating and scary experience.

Overpriced and over-rated. Choose your room temp: Too hot or Too cold The facilities of this motel are getting long in the tooth and are what would be expected from an older budget-brand hotel, not a mid echelon brand like Comfort Inn. Worst was the heating/cooling unit under the window. No thermostat, only 5 settings: Off-Too Hot-Way Too Hot-Too Cold -Way Too Cold. Worn carpet, woodwork and paint.
