This place is a dump The place was filthy! We had to drive down the highway to our cottage which was right on the highway. There was no Wi-Fi, no place to plug anything in, no gluten-free options, no gym despite seeing photos, pool was filthy. Staff were rude. We had to make a dinner reservation and breakfast reservation, even though the restaurant was empty both times. The staff were cold, and we spent our dinner, listening to our server, complain to another table about management. we were supposed to stay four nights but we only stayed one night.

Rustic hotel with beautiful river views Room was large, quiet, and clean with balcony overlooking river. There was a whirlpool bathtub in the bedroom area, which was not expected. Resort has hiking and walking trails but we arrived too late in day to go up to the falls. Tried to take the shorter trail on other side of bridge but it had not been maintained and was flooded out. During dinner at restaurant, staff were very attentive and salmon was cooked well. Breakfast buffet was okay

A fantastic experience! Go to Liscombe Lodge if you love nature and the perfect blend of activity (hiking, kayaking, swimming) and relaxation (bird watching, campfires, playing board games, great meals). And the staff are just great! We love the chalets by the Liscombe River and the sound of the falls. We have been here many times and cannot say enough good about the overall experience!

Great staff Everyone was eager to help and truly seemed to want everyone to enjoy there stay. this was evident from Natalia, when making a reservation and answering all my questions to Jean at the Front desk having such patience and grace helping everyone with a smile. the manager Stacey willing to drive us when our ATV broke down to try to make sure we didn't miss out on the fun!. the Staff are top notch and make it worth it. our stay was for an atv rally and although our bike broke and we couldn't complete the ride we still had a great time. However the advertising stated live entertainment Saturday night, which to me would indicate a local band or singer for the evening. disappointing that all they had was a spotify Playlist and a costco bluetooth speaker. Overall, we did enjoy our mini vacation. we will likely be back. The chalets (cabins) The chalets are located on the opposite side of the highway from the lodge but there is a walking tunnel under the highway to easily walk to the lodge and facilities. We stayed in chalet 8. the disappointing view from the deck was church pews lined up facing the river. this is a permanent set up for weddings and there was a small wedding during our stay. I wouldn't recommend this cottage if you want to relax. the cottage itself was nice, clean, Rustic with some updates. a king size bed, walk in shower, toilet was higher than a standard. room had a fridge and a microwave. Chalet 1 is beside the highway chalet 5 isn't on the river. chalet 7 overlooks a pump house. chalet 9 and 10 are very private overlooking the river but having swampy areas between them and the river and appear to be very shaded. The trails (hiking) we brought our dogs and had planned to do some hikes with our dogs but all the trails are overgrown and not maintained. we did complete the mayflower trail and it was bushwacking and washed away in places. it was like being in the movie the goodies and watching out for boobie traps with every step. if you are going to nature hikes I would avoid until some work has been done. The Dining room. The employees in the dining room were great. unfortunately they are understaffed and the the servers were also cleaning tables and playing hostess. Emma was the best and was able to handle more tables while also doing those other duties and continued to be pleasant and cater to her customers needs. She is definitely an asset to the lodge. The food was highly overpriced and if I went again I would bring a camp stove/bbq and make meals myself. $50 for bbq chicken and COLD buffet with a sad selection is just not worth it. the food all tasted lovely (except the bland steak) and was good just not worth the prices charged The chairs at the tables are horribly uncomfortable and not anything like what you see in their pictures.
