Not good, sorry This is one of the worst hotels they've stayed in. Room was literally falling apart -- a piece of wall molding was on the floor, parts of wall were spackled but not painted. Lots of mold on the bathroom grout. Ice machine in freezer very, very slow to make ice, and no hotel ice machine because, we were told, they are an extended stay property (an explanation we were also given for the fact that housekeeping only comes once a week; though I would note they were happy to take our money for a two-night stay). Pool closed. Bathtub drain would not close. In-room phone had no cord. TV remotes -- there were two, already overly complicated for a hotel -- not working, a problem front desk could not solve (though a staff member the next day, without even getting up from her desk, told us to check to see if the Direct TV "eye" had fallen down, which it had). Staff nice but either disengaged or poorly trained; one was literally asleep at the front desk. On the plus side, plenty of towels and the pillows were comfortable. Still, I would not recommend staying here to anyone, and will not stay at another Candlewood Suites property based on this experience.

Do not stay - unexpected charges My friend stayed here for over a month (he does not have a Google account for reviews) and it was nonstop issues. He could never get clean towels or bedding. There was at least one extra charge of $500 that he did not notice until now and was never explained to him. I paid for one night for him and they took my card from him without me being present or asking for ID for me. I authorized him to charge one night to me and they charged me $450 at the end of his stay, despite knowing that it was not his card. When I called and wanted answers, the front desk staff was blatantly rude and hung up on us and would not provide info for the GM. His mom sent over a credit card auth form for 3 nights and they also charged her at the end of his stay despite having a form on file stating that she only authorized 3 nights for his stay. They now refuse to even provide his original check-in date to me so that I can discuss this with IHG - since it was not my reservation they suddenly can’t give out “confidential guest information” when I want to contact corporate. They are telling me that the refund will not go through for 7-10 business days despite it being right before Christmas, them having the ability to call the bank to release the pending charges, and them clearing out my bank account without ever even getting my ID for the only charge that I authorized. They charged smaller and smaller amounts until they could get nothing more from my account. I am not a wealthy person that can afford a charge like this. Anyone can give them anyone’s credit card I guess - a criminal’s dream! This is all in addition to drunk guests at the pool first thing in the morning jumping off chairs into the pool, and the pool heater breaking during the stay with no plans to fix it due to how old the pool was. My friend was not a perfect guest by any means, but this hotel is not up to IHG brand standards at the very least and is negligent at the worst. You all may get my review taken down - but you should be ashamed of yourselves for charging us instead of going after him for whatever he owed, which should be nothing since he was told repeatedly (I was there to hear it) last weekend that he was good and all set until 12/9.

Will not repeat Pros: convenient highway access to I-81 Cons: where do I start? - loud arguments heard between guests, along with several visits from police. The police were there several times in the few days I was here. I believe there are full time residents here - had several issues with the room (things that did not work, like lights or fridge)....called front desk, they said they would send someone - they never did - maid service during stay: no one attempted to clean the room during my 4 day stay and I did not request maid service - due to COVID. Nevertheless, because there were trash in the trash cans and the room needed vacuuming, *we* were charged a cleaning charge after check out. Tried to address this with the hotel, they made it sound like we trashed the room - not true. **** I seriously suggest you take photos before checkout and ask someone from the front desk to inspect the room while you are still there **** - the room was not in good shape - thin mattress, broken lights, broken sink drain, barely cool fridge We stayed here a few years ago and it was clean and in good shape - no problems. Appears in the past year the place has gone way down hill.
