La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Harrisburg Airport Hershey

Ceiling water damage Our ceiling had water damage from the sprinkler system above the beds. The hotel had no other rooms available and to go to another hotel on short notice, we would have to pay an additional $100+ per night.

Beware of leakage if on the 1st floor The hotel was OK we thought until bedtime, my god-daughter, her daughter and son had showered and in bed when they heard something. She got up and went in the bathroom to see water pouring from the ceiling, she called the front desk. The person on duty brought towels to soak up the water and said he would check the room above her, he came back and said that someone up there had showered and left the curtain open. Not shortly after he left and they returned to try to sleep, heard another noise, this time the ceiling at the food of the bed is busting and dropping to the floor from the supposedly someone taking a shower above her. She had to wake her daughter up to move to another room, they had to re-pack and move. Once in the new room, she was in bed and heard a noise this time water was leaking from the light fixture in the bathroom. The person on duty brought towels and cleaned it up and it stopped. We asked to speak to a manager, to no avail. We stayed until Sunday and still haven't heard anything from management at this property. They are owned by Wyndham and I cannot believe their hotel quality is this bad. I would say beware when booking, don't stay on the first floor

Ok for needs There for concert at Hershey. Hershey STADIUM itself SUCKED. The rooms were not updated but adequate. Ice machine and coffee maker broken. Comfortable bed. Breakfast lacked eggs and narrow window (6-9am). Nice and responsive front desk. Didn’t use housekeeping. A/c fine.

Average Hotel We stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites since it was a reasonable distance from Hershey. The rate was reasonable as well. However the hotel is a bit dated and they were more strict about check-in time. We arrived early, but we were not allowed to check-in until after 3:00 pm unlike the largest hotel chain in the world that starts with the letter "M" which all allowed us to check-in hours before normal check-in time. I like that the hotel uses Dove products and they do smell nice. However in our shower the cleaning service crew gave us 2 bottles of conditioner and 1 bottle of body wash which was attached to the wall in our bathroom. We didn't mind that and found it interesting that instead of a bar of soap by the sink outside the bathroom, it was a bottle of body wash. We are glad the hotel does have a recycle trash bin. Breakfast was good and included the standard fare of muffins, bagels, sausage, yogurt and cereal. There was also a waffle-maker. Before leaving, we noticed that water was leaking from the fan in the ceiling onto the toilet. We called front desk who was apologetic and said they will get someone to fix it.

Never again Common areas were dirty. Mattresses were very stained. No soaps at sink or shower. No tissues. Did not feel good at all.
