Motel 6 Barkeyville, PA

WONDERFUL !!! I was hesitant ~ but so glad I opted to check it out. Dan at the front desk kindly let me see my room before I made a decision & wow, was I nicely surprised when I opened the door! I happily checked in, remarking that if all M6's maintained this standard, they would be my 1st choice. Room was spacious & spotless w/desk, chair & ottomon, fridge/micro, lots of cubbies. Laminate flooring wasn't sticky like you sometimes find. Not even a speck of dust !!! Wall mounted TV = plenty of desk space. A/C cranked & room was nicely cooled off. Plenty of hot water with great pressure. Free wifi with ample signal strength and lots of easily accessible outlets for charging electronics. Bed was comfortable, sheets & towels were bright white. Pet friendly with nice area to walk your dog complete w/poo bags & disposal station. Having watched hotel prices steadily climb over the last few years, it was a bargain without any "sketchy" vibe or off-putting smells. As a solo woman traveler, those things are deal breakers for me. Being M6 it wasn't fancy, but entirely adequate for a quick overnight. If you want more amenities, there are plenty of hotels on the interstate for twice the price!

Vandalism I came on a travel assignment. The rooms had a odor of cigarette smoke and Pets.. Towels were not white they were dingy. Washer and Dryer don’t work great. The management is RUDE..I was charged for 2 extra days and she wouldn’t refund the two extra days…RUN RUN RUN… Not to mention my car was vandalized at this location the headache is not worth saving a few dollars..

Ok for a night, but not great. We had a pretty rough first impression of this motel, as one of our 2 rooms had no running water. And in our other room, when you flushed the toilet, the tank leaked onto the bathroom floor. So it's really hard to give a good review after that. I will say however that the front desk clerk was appologetic and got us a new room right away to replace the one without water. As for the room with the leak, I told him i'd be fine with it for the night. I just put a towel on the floor. But I wanted to point out that the front desk clerk was accommodating and did his job well. Maintenance issues aside, there is zero counter space, so if you're showering, you are forced to put your clothes on either the floor or the top of the toilet which is very off-putting. The rooms were what you'd expect: Dated, worn and no-frills....but priced accordingly. They seemed clean and we felt safe. The parking lot can accommodate lots of vehicles, and even looks like they can handle trucks. If the price was right, i'd stay here again if I just needed to sleep, but would look at other option first, unfortunately.

Great Motel 6 Value Traveling with my mom and dad and they let me pick our stay. I insisted we stay in BARKeyville, PA. The owners of the property are very pet-friendly and have a mischievous pup of their own. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom was updated tastefully. Very extensive cable selection. I would strongly recommend this Motel 6. For under $70 it was truly a great value.

Hands down, five stars for this Motel 6! A flat tire in the middle of a nighttime storm brought me to Harrisville, PA and Motel 6. Despite the challenges brought on by a power outage in the area, a very polite 3rd shift manager did everything in her power to help me out and provide accommodations in the middle of the night - a big thank you to her! The motel was clean, my room was spotless and tidy, the bed was as comfortable as I've ever found in a hotel, and I loved the absence of carpeted floors! The morning manager was also polite and accommodating, trying to schedule ac unit cleaning (yes, they do that, at this place at least, in case you were wondering) with minimal intrusion and interruption to me resting before the remainder of my long road trip.
