Luxury + Location + Value + Clean = 5 stars My family and I recently stayed at the Ayres Hotel Manhattan Beach / Hawthorne while visiting California for a beach volleyball tournament in Hermosa Beach. This hotel was really great. The decor is in an old European style and well-maintained. The rooms were very clean, modern, and quite large. The location was great, with easy access to the beach of about 10 minute drive. Also close proximity to LAX, which was helpful. Lots of airline cruise stay at this hotel, which certainly speaks volumes to the consistency of service they provide. The outdoor courtyard, elevated second level patio, and interior sitting rooms were all very comfortable and great places to do a little work and get away from everything else for a bit. The Wi-Fi was reliable and fast, and the room price was very competitive and a good value. The only item I might mention is that the pool is a bit underwhelming, so if you’re traveling with children and want a large/extravagant pool experience, this probably isn’t the hotel for you. I would stay here again in a heartbeat anytime I travel to this area of Los Angeles.

You'll love it BEAUTIFUL HOTEL. No other way to describe it. You'll feel like your at a palace or something like that. Beautiful paintings, sculptures, tapestries, bookshelves, amazing staircase and chandelier. We finished our honeymoon here and wished we would have stayed there the whole time. The rooms are classically decorated. We loved everything about it. Besides all the decor they provide great service. Jake was our front desk attendant and was amazing with us. We loved everything about it.

Lovely Hotel This is my second stay at this beautiful Ayres Hotel, and again I enjoyed it! My room was nicely decorated, super clean, and smelled fresh. King size bed was especially comfortable; I simply melted into it! Quite a spacious room, too! Lots of eateries are close by so I really appreciated the fridge and microwave to store/heat leftovers! Would be really nice, however, if the hotel offered their patrons at least one or two 'free' bottles of water since they don't offer complimentary breakfast like most other Ayres hotels offer. As well, most other Ayres hotels offer their patrons free parking. Twenty dollars a night is a bit much for unsecured parking. The one unfortunate thorn in my side I experienced at BOTH my stays is that the guests above me were not very mindful (or cared) that quests were below them! Seemed as though they were running a marathon all times of the day and night! Not cool. But... because my room was so comfy, I was able to focus less on their terrible inconsideration and more on my BEAUTIFUL ROOM! Should I stay at this lovely Ayres hotel again, I will DEFINITELY stay on the TOP FLOOR! This is the main reason for the Four Star rating.

We fly out tomorrow The Shower had poor water pressure at 10:30 am and The vending machines were not functioning on any of the floors because of wifi issues also the TV are tiny and in between a wall divider which makes it difficult to view and finally they had no breakfast which we had at the other Ayers, we knew it was an old hotel so we didn’t expect it to be in the greatest shape but it was bad, the halls were _ blazing hot truly is not upto Ayers standard, one good thing is only 10 minutes from LAX

Great stay Great size rooms, easy parking, very large fridge! Love the short wall divider between the beds! Fan running on the AC at night drowned out any possible outside noise. Pool is small but nobody else was in it while we were there. Great location for exploring. Cheapest (price shocked the rental car guy) gas station next door!
