Bacon, Bacon, Bacon I'll start with what I loved the most: BACON. Perfectly cooked, plentiful, all-you-can-eat BACON. It was part of the included breakfast, and went perfectly with another breakfast item that used to amuse me but now I just eat and enjoy: biscuits and gravy. Now that I think about it, the scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked, too. So even though the room wasn't perfect (bolt that toilet seat down firmly!), I'm giving 5 stars for a breakfast that I really enjoyed. This hotel is close enough to Texas A&M to make it a good option for those times when you don't want to (over)pay for a room in College Station.

Loud Trains Loud Trains in the morning, but that is my only complaint. Whoever was in charge of designing the customer experience deserves a raise. The room was beautifully designed, it looks no different than a major hotel chain. Check in staff were friendly. The room met expectations, soft bed, clean bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was as you expect from any hotel chain. I had to wake up early anyways, so the trains did not disturb me, but it is worth noting for anyone that might want to stay here. Room quality: 4/5 - Nothing amazing, but clean. Facilities: 3/5 - No onsite dining, but a restaurant nearby. Has a gym and quality Wi-Fi. Bathroom standards: 5/5 - Clean! Service: 5/5 - efficient check-in/out. Safety and security: 5/5 - My car was not broken into. Location: 3/5 - Along a highway, trains nearby. But I am assuming most are here for a quick night, not a vacation.

Above standards for Holiday Inn but breakfast was a bust for me. I found everything about the room exceptionally clean and nice except they do have the air conditioner under the window that blows very cold air right onto the bed. The breakfast was a good selection, but the eggs were below parr and this day they burned the bacon to a blackened state and still offered it for eating. I'd think a dog would have turned a nose up at it. It's really simple, if you prepared it and you wouldn't or could not eat it why do you think everyone else should? I'm left to wonder if they burn it on purpose and offer up the same pile all week to save money. I plan on staying again next year for the Crossroads Blues Festival, the first Saturday in June but I'll be looking for a breakfast taco somewhere else.

Beautiful hotel and great front desk service! Really like this hotel and the front desk was extremely helpful. Hotel was remodeled 4 years ago. Very modern and clean. Everything in working order. We didn’t get to use the pool, but the outdoor pool area looked very nice and had a small jacuzzi spa. We left before the breakfast was served, but they had coffee out, so we didn’t have to stop. We stayed one night, We had traveled 10 hours that day, checked in, and went to our room. We stopped so we could watch the Cowboys/Packers game. We couldn’t find the channel it was on and consulted with the front desk. She came to our room to try to find the channel, but was unable to. She said she would check other rooms to see if she could find it. She came to our room a few minutes later and told us she had found the game in another room on a different floor and would we like to move. We sure did! Even though our Cowboys lost (in overtime), we were very appreciative for the job this lady did for us. I don’t know her name, but she was working the front desk around 2:45 on November 13th. Kudos! Would definitely stay again.

Think Twice about it! Our family booked this property for our family reunion, and have done so in the past many times. The hotel manager( Casie) cancelled 6 room from our party with same day arrival notice. Thus these rooms had been reserved months in advance, and confirmed, with credit cards. Not acceptable!! Staff (Blanca) very rude, unprofessional, and shouldn't be working in the hospitality industry. Shell on the other hand was very helpful, and did all she could to accommodate our family. A family member room that flooded, and the hotel moved them (a room mysteriously became available). My elderly aunts room air conditioning unit fell apart, and when I reported it, no one never came to fix it. I called to the front desk to request my call be transferred to my elderly aunts room after knocking on the door, and attempting to use the extra key , and overheard Blanca say " Can't she do this her self". Rude, and Unacceptable!! Front Desk staff was MIA the majority of the time, either taking a nap, or doing what ever. Going forward our family has decided to move on from IHG Hearne, TX , thus they do not appreciate or value or business.
