Room and Staff magnificent, Skip the breakfast This is probably my favorite hotel stay thus far because of the room and the view. Front desk staff was pleasant and attentive. In the middle of the night I couldn't find any water in the vending machines and he helped me out with a small bottle of Fiji to get through the night! I call that small favor superb hospitality. I like a balcony for the sake of people watching on the street below. You are a 20 minute walk from Hermosa Beach which we did do, there is a small incline on the way back. The breakfast is mid for a quality inn but the juice is watered down quite a bit; there are so many places nearby to eat that you can easily skip it. There was an unexpected little hot tub in the back, which was nice. No complaints about the facility or staff. For breakfast, there were waffles, school juice boxes that run out QUICKLY, way too thick oatmeal, stale pastry items and coffee that also goes quickly but again, there is a Starbucks in walking distance and a Trader Joe's in the same plaza.

A little outdated Good location, but rooms and amenities are a bit outdated. Room was pretty spacious though. Breakfast was included with the room, but was pretty sub-par. I ate there once, but went elsewhere for the rest of my stay. A short walk to the beach and main bar/dining area.

Great location, terrible breakfast, outdated.. you choose. This reasonably priced hotel offers a ton of amenities, with an onsite gym, complimentary breakfast, ice, vending machines, business center and even stocked bathroom amenities such as; shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and coffee. It’s not the small travel size bathroom amenities check out the pics. Check in went well; there is a $10 a day parking fee and $150 hold on your credit card FYI As for the location and what’s nearby, there is a trader Joes behind the hotel as well as McDonalds, a fit food store, Ensenada taco spot and only a 15 min walk to The Strand. We only booked this Hotel because it was near Barsha, a well-known Tunisian restaurant (only a 2 min drive) and didn’t want to drive 60 miles back home. Stayed in room 114, its quite spacious with a small sitting area and desk. We have a slight view of the ocean; I am a very light sleeper so I would hear cars passing by late at night. if you want to avoid that just ask the front desk if maybe you can get a room on the backside not facing the street. Although the view in the gym was amazing, it was also a bit disappointing; the treadmill had an error message, the bike seat was not only torn and dirty but would not adjust, the air/heater wasn’t working, no water in the dispenser and out of antibacterial wipes. Another reason we chose this hotel was the free breakfast but, the pictures online does not depict the truth, its continental only; sugary cereals, pre-packaged oatmeal, yogurt, ocean spray orange juice, muffins, not so good coffee, apple and oranges. I would suggest planning ahead and brining your own breakfast, if on a budget head to McDonalds and if you want something delish Ocean Diner is right behind the hotel less than 200ft. How likely would I come back to this particular location? 6/10 3.5

If you like dive bars amd you wouldn't mind falling asleep in it, this might be the place for you. If you like dive bars, this is the hotel for you. Yes it's an ok location for the price but the place has steadily gone downhill from the last time I stayed in 2018. You do have to walk or drive to the beach but it is California where it's no colder than 55 most mornings. Another great part is the parking is pretty abundant. They provide an ironing board, safe, and a blow dryer. On the flip side, the rooms have a lot to be desired. I stayed in a jacuzzi room. The room has some issues, easily fixed by some new grout and some wallpaper. The ice machine was also not working. Yet another sign it is going down hill is that the jacuzzi was dirty. I didnt visit the fitness center this time because I really just wanted to sleep and forget how much I paid for this room. I'll never understand why they let rooms get this bad. This will be the last time I stay here. There are some alternatives close by if you are willing to shell out a little more coin. All in all if you want a cheap stay at a big name this is the one for you. If you like going to dive bars and fell asleep while in one and wouldn't care, this is the one for you. Good luck
