5 Star Resort- Ritz level service at a Sonesta price tag! I wish I could give it more stars! The staff, from the house keepers to the concierge went above and beyond. They gave Ritz Carlton level customer service but at a much lower price tag. It’s been raining all day but they anticipated it and had an entire carnival themed event under a covered area with free face painting, movies, popcorn and games. And in the morning, they set out board games and coloring throughout the lobby so that us families with littles don’t go stir crazy inside. I was considering staying at the Omni or the Hilton, where we already accrue points, but I’m so glad we chose Sonesta! It truly is a 5 star experience that I’ve gotten at the JW, St Regis and other luxury brands. We signed up for the Sonesta club and plan to return next year. If you are deciding what the best place is for you and your family, it’s an easy choice in my opinion. Sonesta is the best!

Very decent but over priced Very decent resort for Family. I think the room that i had was slightly underrated for price. Terrible view and mattress super soft and could hear and feel the springs...Also booked through 3rd party and required to pay addtl resort fee. Not angry but add in budget. Overall property was nice. Beach was walking distance and nice. Really enjoyed it. Restaurants on site of course are pricey, but to be expected. No water, coffee or tea in lobby. A bit surprised. In room machine and coffee needs to be changed! Terrible. Although animals are accepted they weren't roaming all around resort and it was clean. Not bad at all...Not sure if I'll revisit but definitely not bad..

Constant dogs barking My complaint will not be an issue for everyone for obvious reasons. This was our second time vacationing at the hotel and will be our last. When I vacation at the beach, like most people I want sun, sand, ocean, and serentity. I did not get serenity at the Sonesta, because everytime I walked into the lobby I heard multiple dogs barking all the time. There was so much barking, I thought I was in a kennel instead of a hotel. If you are ok with hearing dogs barking all the time then this is a no issue for you.

A wonderful stay with some challenges I loved this hotel, its location, and the staff. We had a wonderful stay here. But there were some challenges also. There are a number of restaurants at this location, but we could not find menu's, or the times they were open or where they were at for that matter. It's a big hotel. We were given a brochure with none of this information on it and no scan card to use online. After five days here we wanted to do some laundry before we left. This was a bigger challenge. We were told the south tower had the laundry room, first floor and pick up soap in the store on-site. After going back and forth numerous times on different floors, asking three staff members, who pointed in the right direction, but never said the south tower is a different building than the main building, we found it by accident. You can't get to it from the main building on our floor. After all that, only one old washer was working. Lastly, all the furniture in this hotel has seen better days. The elevators work fine but look really bad. One of them has a panel that is about to come off. This hotel has a great location on the beach and if you don't mind trying to find the things mentioned and you don't mind beat up furniture, (the mattress were fine,) this is the place to stay in Hilton Head.

We will stay here next time we visit Hilton Head. Wonderful resort with friendly staff, perfect location, great beach access, and very very clean. The grounds were also immaculate with a gorgeous pool area.
