Modern hotel, rooms not fully insulated against noise. Though the hotel is modern, the rooms are not insulated against outside noise. During our stay over a weekend there were corporate and family events held in the function rooms. Children were playing noisily in the hallways, unsupervised, at 10pm; their parents and hotel management apparently uncaring about the impact on other paying guests. Acknowledged this is a big hotel, probably the biggest in the area and attracts every one from wedding parties to family reunions but hotel management could go further to monitor guest behaviour.

Leonardo Triumph Bar Service Clean and good size room. What particularly stood out was the exemplary service provided in the Triumph Bar. Chaz demonstrated attentiveness and personal warm service which made the dinning experience a memorable one. He without doubt deserves recognition for outstanding service

Would not stay again. Not enough Staff, breakfast fruit is the thing I love when away, they had lots of melon, very little else, I hate melon and a sad bowl of whole fruit was unappetising. Room was very spacious and clean enough but, one lamp had a bulb gone, so we had only dim light to do makeup for a gala dinner, water was not draining away in the sink plus, toilets for conference suites were difficult to get in and out of, poorly designed and did not flush-properly. Breakfast this morning was an abject failure, no plates, no drinks, no cutlery, heaving with people, tables piled high with dirty crocs. One delegate in our group just had a brick wall in front of the window, a dingy, leaked puddle at the bottom which had turned the wall mouldy under the curtains. Nasty! Not enough signs for toilets in walkway areas, you have to wander up and down checking all the door recesses. We had a great trip because of the event we attended but, not because the hotel was any good. Yesterday listening to guest speakers we were all way too hot, today it was freezing from air flow from ceiling, not sure which was worse. We were told to take a seat in the conservatory at lunchtime, then realised we had to go up and help ourselves, Staff were misleading, then when we returned our table had been taken anyway, so our party was separated. The hot drink pump flasks supplied for breaks were either empty or just luke warm. When I asked a waitress where the regular teabags were at breakfast she said nothing, just flicked the unlabelled jar! Quite rude. There were dirty marks on the bathroom wall and bedding corner. Bedding quality was superb, bed comfy, pillows terrible. Staff appeared to be struggling with sheer numbers there, it must have been worse for regular visitors who were not attending the conference. Reception was unmanned twice when we went down there, the bar was also unmanned and we waited around 15 minutes for the barman to appear, even though the place was so busy. Bar had no fresh milk, the barman did go off and get some elsewhere but, he made a fuss. Our key cards failed twice, incredibly annoying. Walls paper thin, had to go and bang on next door to stop him blaring out bis music.

Crossroads Motel 2.0. Someone walked into the room from adjoining room and freezing cold restaurant. Whilst lying on the bed, I was surprised by the door that connected my room with the one next door starting to open until I shouted out. There was no way of locking this door from my side as the bolt holder had been removed. It is totally unacceptable to have sold this room in that state. After complaining to reception, I was upgraded to an executive suite. Restaurant provided a reasonable choice on the menu, but it was absolutely freezing. Despite people saying to the staff how cold it was, the waiter staff didn't take the hint until I actually asked for the heating to be put on. Also, I chose this hotel because it had a pool and a gym. Despite checking into the health facility, I couldn't use the facilities until their first available slot which was 4hours later. A hotel that could provide a decent solution but is missing the mark by not applying the basics and attention to detail.
