A review trip and gem hunting. The room was nice. Clean and the staff wAs helpful. The breakfast was ok need water and coffee for rooms but that was the only thing I thought would make it a five star stay. Also why can't we get the indoor pool up and running? I pay for the amenity but never got to use it.

Don’t stay here Check in was slow & we were given a room we didn’t book. When I returned to the desk, it took along time to get it corrected. This time the room had 2 beds like we had booked but wasn’t a suite. We were so tired we just stayed there. The room smelled like smoke though it was non smoking. There was dirt on the floor & the hallway had papers & dirt in several places. The beds were not comfortable. Very few choices for breakfast. Checkout was quick. I would not stay here again or recommend it.

Very poor customer service, hair in bed and shower, bathroom in poor shape We made our reservation online about 2 hours prior to our arrival. We reserved a king for $80. On arrival, the desk clerk informed us that she had no king rooms available. We had a choice of either 2 queens or a suite, but the cost would be higher. I replied that we had a confirmed reservation for specific room for a specific cost and they needed to at least honor the cost. First she said she couldn't do it, then after I argued with her, she said ok, she wasn't supposed to but she would make an exception. She gave us our keys, and then said, oh, the elevator is out of order, you'll have to take the stairs. We parked and got our luggage out, took the stairs to the 2nd floor, went in the room and, guess what??? It was a KING room. WTH?? When hubs turned back covers, he found a long black hair on the sheets right by the pillows. EEWWW.. but it was very late at night, so whatever. I went into bathroom looked into shower and there was a hair on the floor of the shower. Bathroom was in poor shape, missing tiles at entrance to shower, stains on wall entering shower (looked like hair dye), cracked basin, missing grout in floor tiles. Next morning we went down to breakfast which was fine, but no water available to drink. After my initial cup of coffee, we had to wait around 15 minutes for more coffee to be available. Ice machine on our floor was out of ice. We were never offered a receipt for our stay, but when I checked my CC, we were charged properly.

The positives simply can’t outweigh the negatives I really don’t like having to do reviews like this one, but I have always tried to honestly describe my experience so others can make an educated choice when making a decision on where to stay. This was our first time to stay at a Sleep Inn, and the first at a Choice Hotel property. What we encountered was certainly not what we expected. The hotel didn’t appear to have many guests. The other hotels in the area all had full parking lots, but this one never had more than a few cars that we observed the night and morning we were there. Walking to the hotel entry should have been a clue that this stay was going to be interesting. The sliding door was broken, and the sign said pull to open. To the right of the sign on the same door was a notice to push here. Okay, which one is it? Once we figured out how to open the door we went to the front desk. We thought no one heard us come in and were looking for a bell or something when finally a young woman came around the corner. She did not greet us at all. In fact, she seemed like she would have preferred to be anywhere but behind that desk. I gave her my name, and the first thing she said was that the elevator was broken and we would be on an upper floor. I said we couldn’t carry our luggage up the flights of stairs, and asked if she would move us to the first floor. She said there were no rooms. Then said she only had one room she could give us on the first floor, but since it had a Jacuzzi we would need to pay extra. I explained that we would not pay anything extra, that we had a prepaid reservation booked through Choice Hotel’s website. We expected a room at the price we paid since it was not our fault that the hotel failed to notify us about the broken elevator. I explained had we known in advance about the elevator we would have selected a different hotel. She then asked me if we had booked online to which I replied yes, and then she told us that was the problem. She informed me that I should have I called the hotel directly to make my reservation, because then they would have told us the elevator was broken. Having traveled extensively during my career I have never had issues with booking online. In fact, for many businesses it is the only way to reserve hotel accommodations. So, I told her it still wasn’t my problem but she was adamant that we were at fault. I then mentioned that as a couple of “old” people we couldn’t safely carry our luggage up several flights of stairs. Oh, but she had the answer to that, too. She told us that other old people had been able to do it, so we should be able to handle it as well! I found it very difficult to hold my tongue at that point, but I did say that the hotel was creating a liability issue for guests. She just smirked. As I was about to demand our money back so we could go elsewhere, she managed to find us a room on the first floor. Surprise. On the positive side, our room was comfortable and clean. The housekeeper did a great job. Breakfast was excellent, and the breakfast attendant kept everything fresh and well-stocked. Kudos to both employees. Unfortunately, the positives simply can’t outweigh the negatives on this property, so I cannot recommend this location to anyone. There are multiple other hotels in the same area and I will suggest any one of them before reserving at Sleep Inn.

Good for business travel Decent good sized rooms. Nice staff. The pool is out of service for some reason. There were no snacks in the vending machine. The complimentary breakfast was good (potatoes, bacon, eggs, waffles, standard complimentary breakfast things, etc.. There's a nearby casino for fun.
