Howard Johnson by Wyndham Holbrook

Despite upgrades, stay far away Despite some cosmetic upgrades, this Howard Johnson revamp by Wyndham was a nightmare stay after a long day on the road. It was over a 100degrees in Holbrook that day, but the AC was not on in room on arrival because a note on the door said they were trying to save money so after hours of blasting it, it was not cool in the room while we tried to sleep. We really should have run the other way as soon as we walked in and saw a cricket hanging out on top of one of the beds. But there were no other hotels with availibility. The side with the sofa bed was so hot, we had to move the mattress to the floor on our side of the room so that my nephew could get closer to the ac side. The staff was nice but there wasn't much they could do. They offered us another room that was smaller but it also was hot inside. The carpets need to go, they looked about 50 yrs old. The internet barely worked. There was a broken plastic plate on the electric plug on the wall that my son hurt his knee on, made him bleed. Keep driving past this one.

Best value in hotels! Pool and rooms were clean. Laundry room was nice and accessible. They had everything we needed. One of our best experiences on the road. Continental breakfast was delicious. Wi-Fi worked well. Everything was in order and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful.

Great hotel Great hotel! They price matched from booking.com and the staff were really nice. The room was clean and nice. The breakfast area was clean and the waffles were very good. They had coffee, cereal, and more. Nice atmosphere and an affordable option.

You have to check out the Hojos in Holbrook This place is so clean and comfortable, decorated in a retro style in the room. The hot tub was wonderful after traveling all day. Ashley and the other staff made us feel so welcome.

PERFECTLY clean and comfortable!! And a GREAT price! I was thrilled with our stay at the Howard Johnson in Holbrook. Why?? Because it was one of the cheaper choices in my exhaustive Google search (I hate that job!!) and turned out to be a GREAT choice!! An older building, an older company, but note ... everything in the place ... from our room, to the pool, to the reception area, to the stairs... EVERY THING was impeccable: clean, polished, painted, and fixed. Heck, the pool didn't have a fleck of blue paint missing! In our room, the King bed was comfortable with absolutely no motion transfer; the sheets soft and not pilled!, with every amenity we could want. The pool was warm and the Hot tub warmer. :-) .... And, we saved a minimum of $10 from the closest competitor. The morning breakfast is minimal ... coffee, fruit, cereal, toast, muffins and make-your-own waffles ... but it was enough to send us on our way. The perfectly clean and "everything working perfectly" room sold the Howard Johnson to me.
