OK for a few nights Not that many places to stay in Homestead. The Floridian was reasonably priced. My wife and I stayed here for two nights. I will view our stay as "Pros & Cons." Pros: Can park your car close to your room door. Making it easy to move luggage. Great Pool with a seating area. Staff was friendly. Great hot breakfast on Sat & Sunday. Continental breakfast through the week. Cons: The front of the hotel is next to a busy roadway. Traffic can be heard. Noisy. Rooms are a bit dated, but clean.

Nice but dated. The room is big but smelled strong like insecticide. The furniture is dated, rooms need renovating. Same as beds, mattresses and pillows. The TV is old as well. The windows have no thick glass so you can hear everything from the outside. The pool is heated so it is very nice. The staff at breakfast, house keeping and laundry are very nice. The breakfast was great. The girl serving the hot plates was super nice.

Very unhappy Took an hour just to check in, only to find that I must stand in lobby and wait longer until the room was ready even though it was well past the 3:00 check in time. The room was very out dated and in poor condition. Fortunately it was a room with 2 beds because one of them had a mattress that was so sunk in you could have made a pool in it!! The room had small ants. The staff was not friendly or helpful.

Do not stay! Although this was just a quick stop, it was gross. Pictures and hotel descriptions were very misleading. “Modern” is nowhere to be found. It is very outdated with outlets not working. Pool is NOT heated. Very loud through the night and breakfast was to be expected.
