Best Western Maple City Inn

Best Western Maple City Hornell NY The room was extremely clean and the accommodations of the hotel were very nice with a clean pool. Everyone was friendly and kind as we visited the hotel. It was easy to get in and out of the hotel parking lot and easy to visit from the highway. The stores in the local area were very easily accessible for visitors. We enjoyed eating breakfast and talking with the staff.

Old-School Best Western I was on a cross-country driving trip to watch my grandson play baseball at the Cooperstown All-Star Village tournament. In making reservations at Best Westerns across the country, I did so based on mileage between 400-450 miles max. The Best Western Maple City Inn was just under the 400-mile range, and only about 180 miles from my stay in Oneonta, so was perfect for my last night on the road. The hotel is in a not-so-great location. Not that I ever felt unsafe, but it's right by a railroad track and surround by an older neighborhood. Not walking distance to anything plus during the afternoon/early-evening you get the train horn occasionally. Mind you, never heard it during the night so it did not bother my sleep at all. Arrived at the front desk and was greeted like I was a long-lost friend. Seriously, it was just a nice way to start my stay. I had sent a package second-day aired ahead to be picked up when I arrived, and it was there waiting for me. In fact, all my interactions with staff were pleasant and friendly. I felt at home. One other nice aspect is they provide a long list of local restaurants so that you don't have to look up where to eat. Made my life easier. I was placed on the bottom floor so could park right outside my window. The room was wonderfully clean and furnished with a microwave and small refrigerator. Bathroom was clean as well. The property also has an indoor pool as well as a small exercise room. I did not use either, but they are available. It's doubtful I will be back in the area, unless my other grandson comes in about 8 years to the tournament. But if life takes me here again, I will have no hesitation whatsoever about staying at the Best Western Maple City Inn again. Just a great and friendly place to stay.

Excellent Staff I was impressed with the helpfulness of the staff. Tabitha the general manager really went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. As did the cleaning staff.

Excellent accommodations at great price Really well maintained hotel with great hot breakfast. Comfortable beds and clean spacious rooms. Nice indoor pool. Much less expensive than the new hotel in town. A great value.

Needs Updates in a big way I really appreciate the staff here. They are always nice, funny, and helpful. However, this hotel really needs some updates! The bathroom is too small, and the tub is gross - it fills with water, which makes me sick. Although the staff do clean it, their efforts are limited by the condition of the facilities. So, when I rate cleanliness low, it's not because of the staff!
