Delightful stay after the Astros game The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. However the drinks we ordered at the hotel bar after the game were less than satisfying; 1 piña colada had a green tinge and tasted fine, the other was clear and tasted like bottom shelf liquor and an overwhelming twist of lime. The bar was positively slammed after the game so I understand and am not upset, but wanted to take note for next time just to order a beer. Our concierge who picked up our luggage this morning (at 6am _) was absolutely fabulous and a wonderful conversationalist (sadly I didn't catch his name) and Rafael was also a gem! He remembered us from the day before when we arrived, and considering the crowds from the game that flooded the lobby I consider that a compliment _ we will definitely be staying at the Westin again for our annual astros ball game next year. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ -Belle Truax

A solid, typical Westin Hotel I've stayed at the Westin Galleria many a time for dance competitions, business meetings, and for pleasure. Reflecting on my most recent visit, there are a few things I think travelers should know about this hotel: Location and a Note on the Westin Oaks: In my opinion, this hotel has the best location out of all of them around the Galleria. It's directly connected to mall, surrounded by the more "luxury" section of the mall. It's rather confusing for visitors to really know what the difference between this hotel and the Westin Oaks is. Note that they are not the same hotel, and are on two completely opposite ends of the Galleria. As a Westin Representative told me: "The Westin Oaks is more family oriented, while the Westin Galleria is more for businessman or professionals." I would say that this is pretty accurate. This place is not as well suited for families as the Westin Oaks in my opinion. The Convention Center: While this place has a great convention center, it's truly all over the place, and can be very difficult to navigate. It's almost located in two separate buildings, and you have to sprint across multiple floors and escalators to make it from session to session. If you're planning on staying here for pleasure, do yourself a favor and make sure there is *not* a dance convention happening during your stay. As someone who's competed in many of these events, I know that it is absolute chaos during those weekends. I feel so bad for the visitors who have to wait hours to catch an elevator, wait hours to get food from the food court, or deal with the screaming kids in the hallway at 12 AM (when the convention gets out). These often happen from October - April. In my opinion, the only reason you should deal with the madness is if you are attending the convention itself. If not, please stay away! Room: This is a very typical Westin room. I would probably rate the room "average" for the Westin. The bathroom door in my room didn't lock or close, and their two queen rooms would not fit a group of more than 3 well. If you're a business professional traveling alone for work, it's great, but if you need some extra space in your room, I'd recommend checking out somewhere else. Customer Service: It's typical for a Westin (which is a good thing) - It's kind, professional, and quick. The only problem I've ever had was when I booked this hotel with hotels.com, they claimed they didn't see my reservation, and I had to pull out my printed receipts. Not a great way to start out my trip. If you're going to book this hotel with a third party site, definitely bring a printed copy of your reservation just in case they lose yours like they did mine. Overall, it's a solid, clean, good hotel. There is nothing amazing or outstanding about this hotel other than its location, but is very suitable for a business or personal trip with a loved one. If you're a couple or solo traveler looking to enjoy the Galleria for a weekend, as long as there isn't a convention going on, it's a lovely place to stay.

Top Notch Valet Services I just got back home from a business trip to Houston and stayed at the amazing Westin Galleria. It was truly probably the best Hotel experience I've had. To begin, Elgert and the Valet staff were just so helpful and pleasant. I really just can't begin to explain all that they did to help me unload my cars with fresh flowers, tool boxes and other ridiculous items, and they never even batted an eye! Thank you all for making my trip so easy! The elevators were super fast, and there was always one almost immediately available. The cleaning staff always left me more water and coffee, a must! Front desk was super helpful, as was concierge and our favorite bartender. Thanks Westin Galleria for a wonderful experience

Memorial Day Weekend - awesome stay ! We stayed here Memorial Day weekend for a friends getaway to Houston and we were not disappointed. The location is perfect - directly connected to the Galleria Mall, which you can access via 2 floors. The room itself was great - spacious with the famous Westin “ Heavenly “ bed and a 55 inch TV. The bathroom is the selling point though - amazing modern shower that you just want to luxuriate in. Big plus. I just wish the toilet was further from the shower door, I’m tall with muscular legs and could have used more space. The staff was excellent and clearly explained to us the Covid protocols about housekeeping which was no big deal, when we needed extra towels we got them fast and the old ones removed. There is a restaurant on site but you also have tons of options in the Galleria mall - it’s a good option for breakfast before the mall opens particularly. Tip: like all big hotels there is a convenience market next to the check in desk, but if you walk out to the mall from that entrance someone had the good sense to open a mini-mart in the mall that has many more drink and snack options. Don’t want to short the hotel but just in case you don’t see your favorite snack at the hotel it’s almost certainly next door. Also: there are two Westin hotels at the mall. We saw two people get turned away because they had reservations at the Westin Oaks . This is the “ regular “Westin. Overall a truly awesome weekend , thanks Westin !
