Sleep Inn & Suites Huntsville near U.S. Space & Rocket Center

My experience was great UNTIL.... This establishment was secondary as my preferred Drury Inn that's located nearby was completedly booked. The location and experience checking in was good. The young man with glasses was very hospitable. This was a quick getaway trip to see my girlfriends I had not seen in more than 10 years, weve been friends for 20+. Why am I saying all of this...it's to warn those that this establishment has charged my credit card $600 as they are claiming I broke the sofa. I was barely in the room as I spent most of the day with my girls playing catchup and them chaeferring me around the city to see how much it has grown. I am an honest and upstanding professional that's spent most of my career serving the public in a government capacity, and to think that this place would go to this extent to get a sofa that HAD to be broken upon my arrival, to TRY to get it fixed through me is absurb!!!! I DID NOT even sit on the sofa and the room after I checked out was spotless!!!! I greeted the Hispanic housecleaning ladies on my way out and advised them the room was clean. I am willing to take this ridiculous claim to lidigation if I have to as I will stand on the TRUTH that I did not damage this propertly in any way!!! You have just TRIED to ruin my weekend, yet I will not allow it. PLEASE BEWARE of this establishment!!! I also asked someone who took my call to review the camera footage to see that I was not in the room and only had time to SLEEP in it.... Also, I will say that the gentlemen that checked me in and out were very nice! That's the only nice comment I can give as to write this is very disheartening!!! My career requires me to travel for work and the Choice Brand is has always been a top choice until today.... I have warned my friends and family to NEVER visit this hotel!! Spread the word...

Comfortable stay A good stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room and hotel in general was well maintained and clean. Very fast internet. Breakfast was nice and was constantly refreshed. Convenient for visiting the Space and Rocket Centre. We would stay again.

Clean and comfortable This hotel had a very nice breakfast and great coffee was available 24/7. Our king suite was spacious with a walk in shower. The front desk and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. A Chick-fil-A and a Hooters are within walking distance. I would stay here again.

Outrageous Incidental Deposit!! Outrageous Deposit $150 can take 5-7 days to release. This was not effect in March 2023. Notice d this at check in. Another visitor came down to inquire about the absorbent deposit. Just returned from a 5 day trip to New Orleans this was our halfway stop. We had stayed n several upscale hotels with only a $50 incidental deposit and a timely release. Of course there was no Manager on site. Had we known this prior to booking we would of stayed elsewhere even at a higher rate. Also the strange smell of bleach continues to be an issue when I visit this chain. This will be our last stay at Sleep Inns.

Horrible experience We stayed this hotel for three days. The room smelled horrible due to a lot of mold in the air conditioner. We told the staff and did not hear an apology or anything done with the mold but instead my card kept getting deactivated after I reported the mold. The staff was force me to walk up and down the stairs to get my card activated because I reported a mold issue
