lovely spot Very comfortable B&B with the house perfectly sited for a fabulous view of Mt Hood and a lovely view down the valley filled with vineyards and orchards. It's situated just north of the Columbia Gorge with lots of things to do including great hiking options.

Nightmare on Elm Street with Chucky(Jerry the owner) thrown in. Yes, after driving 10 miles from the Highway along a rough dirt road you come to a gate. You must exit the car to get through. The area is right in the middle of a forest not far from where the fires are and if one started you would be in a world of hurt. Then upon arriving we were greeted by 2 Giant Schnauzers just outside the car doors. One had its side stitched up with drainage tubes coming out. They were very excited to say the least to lead us up to the front door. We entered with both dogs leading the way. As soon as Jerry greeted us my wife asked what happened to the smaller, injured dog. He proceeded to tell us the pair are mother and daughter, and the daughter ripped the Mom open. He told us it’s a dominance thing quite common when they reach 18 months old. Huh! Then the larger, daughter dog immediately got my wife's attention by grabbing her hand with its mouth. My wife immediately pulled her hand away and Jerry said she’s just trying to pull you-- don’t worry it’s nothing. The same dog then bit my wife in the leg-- didn't break the skin. My wife immediately exclaimed this to Jerry, who denied it happened! But, he came over and pulled the dog away when she said she knew the difference between nothing and a bite! She told him she was no longer comfortable with the dogs in the house, and asked Jerry to restrain them. He told us the dogs were rare and worth $1800 each, and would not hurt a fly, At no time was an apology offered, and in fact he refused to restrain them. He then said he and his wife (whom we never saw or met) were leaving. Thus, dogs roaming around and no owners on site! He proceeded to show us the kitchen and our upstairs bedroom, then left us. We used the bathroom just outside the bedroom, then mutually and immediately grabbed our bags and exited the premises. Reported incident to Sheriff's office. This was the worst experience ever. I would never recommend this property.

Wonderful and Fantastic!! My husband and I visited here in May 2017. The setting is beautiful and somewhat remote. But that was we were looking for. Great view of Mt Hood across the Columbia River in Oregon. Jerry was an excellent and welcoming host and his breakfasts were tasty and filling. The rooms are all different and Cody. We absolutely loved the mattress..sooo comfortable!! Definitely worth a visit with a lot to enjoy in the area.

Beautifully remote and quiet Off the beaten path, but that's what we were looking for. Nicely landscaped grounds, a lovely home, and a very picturesque setting, pretty enough that they host several weddings every year. Scenic country roads with llamas and orchards on the way to get there, and then a mile and half of very well maintained gravel road. Be sure to get dinner before heading up the hill. Or go up, check in, and then come back down and explore. Be sure to call ahead if you will initially arrive late as we did. The Logs at about 12 minutes away is your closest dinner option, and a pretty decent one. Or plan on 20 - 30 minutes to go into White Salmon or Hood River. Try the nearby Weldon Wagon Road trail for a nice easy-to-moderate hike and more great views. Thanks Jerry and Carol for sharing your home with us and being great hosts. Due to clouds we missed out on the Mt. Hood view, and had to settle for valley views as the clouds floated through. Guess we'll have to plan another visit.
