Decent Started out rough but then Shelby was very efficient and truly took care of us, she was a great listener and you could tell she actually cared about the guest staying there, I’ve noticed with a couple people Shelby is the one that I feel like knows the most with working here

Horrible, we will never go back! Driving cross country from South Carolina to Iowa for a funeral, we stopped for a few hours sleep before continuing on early the next morning. Our room was horrible, and obviously not prepared for guests. While the bed seemed to be freshly made, everything else was unacceptable. The room was musty and smelled of stale smoke. (I had a headache the next morning.) The most obvious problem was the bathroom, with large patches of peeled paint torn off the tile and the tub itself. (I have atached photos of the tub/shower below.) There was only one bath towel and one wash cloth in the room, and they were just lying on the counter, as if they had been left there by previous guests. Fortunately, I had some hand sanitizer and wiped down the sink, counter and toilet. We kept our shoes on because we didn't want to walk on the floor with our bare feet. The kitchen was completely bare. Not that we were planning to use the kitchen, but had we intended to, all the cabinets were empty: no utensils, dishes, towels, detergent, etc., all the things you expect a room with a kitchen to come equipped with. The ONLY reason we didn't walk back out and ask for our money back was because it was very late, we had just driven more than 600 miles and were exhausted. Since it appeared the sheets, at least, were clean, we decided to try to get some sleep. We slept for a few hours and then got out of there as quickly as we could. We couldn't wait to get to the next hotel in Iowa so we could shower. As bad as this room was, I can't believe that it was ever intended to be sold to a guest. Surely, it was on some list to be repaired, because I can't imagine any reputable company wanting this to be the face of what a well-known hotel chain would want to portray to the public. We will never choose Extended Stay America again.

Floors--- This hotel is not terrible. HOWEVER...Our floors were disgusting. I had to put my shoes on to pee. It smelled :/ It was quiet though and the beds were VERY comfy...! We could not shower. Idk what is on tub in pics? Looked like something growing? I think if it was clean it would have been much better?!?

Don’t waste your time! They overbook! Booked a reservation several weeks in advance for the B1G 10 Championship football game. Rate was great at $135/night. Drive 4 1/2 hours to be told that they were overbooked and they didn’t have a room for us. Several others were waiting and getting ready in the lobby because rooms were not ready. We needed showers before the event but instead ran around to their sister property that they sent us to up the road to be told they could not accommodate us either. Blame was put on 3rd party booking company who we have never had this problem with. We had to run around to find a hotel to accommodate the 5 of us as our original booking did. We got stuck with a $460 a night hotel because that was all that was left. Horrible of you Extended Stay America. On a big weekend like this you should have called guests ahead of time if you knew you were over booked! Instead you let them run around and ruin their experience that many paid big money to attend.

Do not stay here I understand the hotel and the rooms are old. I’m ok with old. There’s no reason a hotel can’t be clean even when it’s old. The comforters are stained. The a/c filters are disgusting. There’s dog hair on the bathroom ceiling. There’s random hairs on the bed and bathroom towels. It’s old and falling apart and not clean.
